Keselesaan Bermukim Di Flat : Kajian Kes Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Rumah Susun Sukaramai, Medan, Indonesia / Fashbir Noor Sidin, Noor Sidin Fashbir
Pre-2000 Student Works
In Indonesia, development of flat (rumah susun) has started ten years ago as a model project among major cities likes Jakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung and Palembang. A: Jakarta, low-cost flat is 'favourable' and 'moderate' at Medan and Bandung while 'unfavourable' at Surabaya and Pelembang. Up to now, the demand for flat still high at Jakarta and also at Surabaya related to growth of urbanization. Flat which is located at city centre is more favourable to fixed and low-income groups because of the influence of the cost of living including transportation expenditures. In Medan City, Rumah Susun Sukaramai, are currenty occupied …

Homeschooling And The Redefinition Of Citizenship, A. Bruce Arai
Homeschooling And The Redefinition Of Citizenship, A. Bruce Arai
Education Policy Analysis Archives (EPAA)
… This paper reviews the research on homeschooling, as well as the major objections to it, and frames these debates within the broader issues of citizenship and citizenship education. The paper shows that homeschoolers are carving out a different but equally valid understanding of citizenship and that policies which encourage a diversity of understandings of good citizenship should form the basis citizenship education both for schools and homeschoolers.

The paper ends with a call for Public Administrationists to engage in …
