Some clinical psychology programs are developing training in management in response to both the recognition that management is a major professional role for many psychologists (Clements, Rickard, & Kleinot, 1986) and the National Council of Schools of Professional Psychology’s (NCSPP) inclusion of “supervision and management” as one of six competency areas for the core curriculum in professional psychology (Peterson, R. L., McHolland, J. D., Bent, R. J., Davis-Russell, E., Edwall, G. E., Polite, K., Singer, D. L., & Stricker, G., 1991). This article comments on allegations that various United States Government (USG) authorities have mishandled allegations that a Los Alamos computer scientist, Wen Ho Lee, has mishandled classified information bearing on USG nuclear weapons and may have committed espionage in the service of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

A Study Of Nursing Students And Intrinsic Spirituality, Christine Anderson Madsen

Master's Projects

This paper describes some theoretical perspectives of spirituality, the concepts of spiritual care and spiritual needs, and barriers to providing spiritual care as described in the literature. The two most frequently described barriers are lack of comfort with the topic and lack of education. Because there is so little written about the discussion of spirituality in schools of nursing, a descriptive study using nursing students on the central coast of California was conducted. The Spiritual Involvement and Beliefs Scale (SIBS) was used to measure intrinsic spirituality. This study looked for relationships between the scores on this scale, and the students' …

The article is a November 30, 1999 interview of two Pakistani representatives by IBPP Research Associate Catherine Stupar at the World Trade Organization's 3rd Ministerial Series, Seattle Round.

IBPP Commentary. The conflations of political rhetoric by privileged speakers with phenomenologies of the spoken for--viz., the wretched of the earth--are as timeless as they are intractable. Too often, the privileged come and go, while the wretched of the earth remain.
