Chinese Cinema And Transnational Cultural Politics : Reflections On Film Festivals, Film Productions, And Film Studies, Yingjin Zhang
Chinese Cinema And Transnational Cultural Politics : Reflections On Film Festivals, Film Productions, And Film Studies, Yingjin Zhang
Journal of Modern Literature in Chinese 現代中文文學學報

By “transnational cultural politics” here I mean the complicated——and at times complicit—ways Chinese films, including those produced in or coproduced with Hong Kong and Taiwan, are enmeshed in “a larger process in which popular- …

Clags Launches Seminars In The City, Elizabeth Freeman
Clags Launches Seminars In The City, Elizabeth Freeman
Center for LGBTQ Studies (CLAGS)
In July, CLAGS (in partnership with A Different Light Bookstore) launches a public education series, Seminars in the City. This monthly series of structured discussions of major works in lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender and queer studies, led by CLAGS Board members who are scholars in the field, will be aimed at nonacademic readers. We hope that Seminars in the City will supplement the scholarly colloquium series, in which academics present works in progress, by offering "lay people" the same kind of forum to learn together. No background required, and no term papers: just a willingness to read one book a month and share …

Doctoral Dissertations
This study was conducted to determine whether a statistically significant relationship exists between the leadership styles of principals and teacher morale in the public secondary schools of north Louisiana, as perceived by teachers. Fatigue: Investigation Of A Human Factor For Regional Airline Pilots, Doug Mikkelsen
Fatigue: Investigation Of A Human Factor For Regional Airline Pilots, Doug Mikkelsen
Master's Theses - Daytona Beach
This study analyzed the causes of regional airline pilot fatigue and the impact on pilot performance. An instrument was developed and refined through a field study validation by a panel of experts. The final instrument was distributed to three groups of regional airline pilots. The data supported the literature review, which revealed many causes of pilot fatigue, including flight crew schedules that are not compatible with human limitations; Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) that have not evolved with the advancement of aircraft performance and the public demand for 24 hour availability of flights; and poor personal habits. An analysis of the …
