Fragment Rotational State Distributions From The Dissociation Of Neibr: Experimental And Theoretical Results, Thomas Alex Stephenson
Fragment Rotational State Distributions From The Dissociation Of Neibr: Experimental And Theoretical Results, Thomas Alex Stephenson
Chemistry & Biochemistry Faculty Works
The IBr fragment rotational state distributions that result when the NeIBr van der Waals molecule undergoes vibrational predissociation have been measured in a pump-probe laser-induced fluorescence experiment. Independent of initial vibrational state and the number of quanta of vibrational energy lost from the I-Br coordinate, the rotational distributions extend over the full range of energetically accessible states. From the observation of energetic constraints on the rotational distribution, the dissociation energy (D0) is calculated to be 65.5 +/- 1.2 cm-1 for the A electronic state, v=16. For the X electronic state, v=0, D0=71.8 +/- 1.2 cm-1. Quantum mechanical bound state calculations …

Line Reproduction In Mapping Utilizing The Four Color Process Model, John R. Handy
Line Reproduction In Mapping Utilizing The Four Color Process Model, John R. Handy
Theses
The application of the four-color process to printing fine line work found on topographical maps was investigated. A description of the mapping process is included and the reason why the four-color process would be advantageous to cartographic printing was discussed. The chapter on fourcolor process theory was included for the benefit of the cartographic community - The experimental design for data transfer, color tolerance, target design to match spot and process color, as well as color space employed, were reviewed. The reasons for the use of a direct digital proofing system were explained. The results of data transfer were evaluated …

A Mössbauer Effect Study Of The Microscopic Magnetic Properties Of Nd₂Fe₁₇ And Nd₂Fe₁₇N₂.₆, Gary J. Long, Oran Allan Pringle, Fernande Grandjean, K. H. J. Buschow
Chemistry Faculty Research & Creative Works
The Mössbauer spectra of Nd2Fe17 and Nd 2Fe17N2.6 have been measured at various temperatures between 78 and 295 K and analyzed with a model that is based on the Wigner-Seitz cell environment of each iron site, the orientation of the magnetization, and the magnetic moments as determined from either neutron-diffraction measurements or band-structure calculations. Upon nitrogenation of Nd2Fe17, the weighted average isomer shift increases from 0.060 to 0.164 mm/s and further the isomer shifts of the four crystallographically distinct sites increase in agreement with the increase observed in their …

Birds Of The Heronry Site At The University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center At Dallas, Chris Snook
Bulletin of the Texas Ornithological Society
Heronries are generally known only for their breeding heron and egret populations. This paper details the monthly distribution and relative abundance of 111 species observed in an old established inland downtown heronry in north central Texas. The site has some importance as a local migrant stopover in the downtown Dallas area.

What's Standing After Lujan? Of Citizen Suits, "Injuries," And Article Iii, Cass R. Sunstein
What's Standing After Lujan? Of Citizen Suits, "Injuries," And Article Iii, Cass R. Sunstein
Michigan Law Review
In this article, I have two principal goals. The first is to explain why Lujan's invalidation of a congressional grant of standing is a misinterpretation of the Constitution. It is now apparently the law that Article III forbids Congress from granting standing to "citizens" to bring suit. But this view, building on an unfortunate innovation in standing law by Justice William 0. Douglas, is surprisingly novel. It has no support in the text or history of Article III. It is essentially an invention of federal judges, and recent ones at that. Certainly it should not be accepted by judges …
Christmas Tree Selection, John Ball, David Graper
Christmas Tree Selection, John Ball, David Graper
SDSU Extension Extra Archives
A Christmas tradition for many South Dakota families is choosing and cutting their own tree from a local Christmas tree farm. Others pick out their cut tree at a retail store. Either way, the freshness and fragrance of a real tree adds a special touch to the holidays.
