A few years ago we associated the marionette entirely with the Italian showman. Now a veritable renaissance of interest in marionettes seems to be sweeping over every country, out own included. Many artists were quick to see the educational as well as enjoyments possibilities in this fascinating form of drama. The result has been that in almost every city and town some sort of work with marionettes is being done in the public, private and parochial schools from the primary grades to high school.

Boncyk in his research on potentiometric titrations, made the observation that apparently mercurous nitrate could be used to titrate chromic acid solution. He used potassium iodide as an outside indicator and found that a slight excess of mercurous nitrate gave a gray precipitate with potassium iodide solution. The precipitate seemed to indicate the end point, or the neutralization of the chromic acid; a slight excess of the mercurous nitrate causing the immediate formation of a gray precipitate.
