This study analyzes the social effects of migration on Sudanese labor migrants 􀀉11d their families both in the host and the home country. This study also examines the problems concerning integration (social, economic and political) and citizenship of Sudanese labor migrants and their families in the society of the United Arab Emirates. This work is the result of a fieldwork that I conducted among Sudanese labor migrants in the UAE. The method used for collecting the data is qualitative. To grow their bottom lines, companies invest in business value drivers. This thesis examined whether multidimensional sustainability performance could be one of those drivers in the pharmaceutical industry. There are currently very few (if any) mandatory requirements for integrating multidimensional sustainability. Nor are there standardized methods of integrating, measuring, or communicating multidimensional sustainability. This thesis reviewed, compared, and contrasted (also known as benchmarking) voluntary sustainability initiatives and pharmaceutical company sustainability initiatives. Economic theory is subject to continual analysis. While theories themselves are sometimes widely accepted, nuances of theory are persistently scrutinized. Researchers have not isolated this debate from a simply theoretic standpoint. Empirical methods in microeconomics also provide a forum for disagreement. This dissertation studies two topics of microeconomic theory that are constantly in debate: integration and cost function estimation. From the standpoint of theoretical integration models in international trade theory, the concept of foreign direct investment is studied in both a horizontal and vertical setting.
