Technical Disclosure: A Multi-Variable, Object-Oriented Database Schema And Api Protocol For Ai-Guided, Performance-Based Curriculum Routing, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

This technical disclosure details the architecture for an automated, multi-variable, object-oriented data schema and Application Programming Interface (API) designed to execute performance-based curriculum routing without age-segregated grade boundaries. The system structures diverse academic, kinetic, and technical disciplines into standardized, interoperable data objects called Discipline Blueprints. Each blueprint enforces a non-linear advancement pipeline governed by two immutable checkpoints: a zero-assist algorithmic velocity sprint and a physical/systemic product generation milestone. A localized machine learning agent parses real-time telemetry from user interactions, dynamically matching individual cognitive profiles against localized workforce shortages and trade vectors to prevent network drop-out. Crucially, the architecture incorporates an …

From Ai To Alien(S): Universal Alignment Principles And The Architecture Of Inter-Species Communication Metrics, Christopher L. Eckes Jul 2026

From Ai To Alien(S): Universal Alignment Principles And The Architecture Of Inter-Species Communication Metrics, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

The critical bottleneck in both contemporary Artificial Intelligence (AI) alignment and the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) is anthropomorphic bias. Modern AI alignment models rely heavily on human linguistic structures, reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), and qualitative ethical frameworks. These models degrade rapidly when scaled to non-human or multi-agent networks. Similarly, traditional SETI protocols look for messages encoded in cultural or linguistic formats that assume shared biological or social evolutionary tracks.

This paper introduces a foundational framework for AI-Alien Alignment Principles (AAAP). By treating communication as a problem of non-linear dynamical systems integration, this model establishes Topology, Vector Calculus, …

Interaction Boundary Constraint, Brian Harber Jul 2026

Interaction Boundary Constraint, Brian Harber

Defensive Publications Series

Compositional AI systems increasingly operate through orchestration layers, retrieval mechanisms, external tooling, routing systems, and probabilistic model behavior. Under these conditions, evaluation often occurs through observable interaction surfaces while direct visibility into the full composition producing an interaction remains limited, partial, or absent at the point of interaction.

This paper defines the Interaction Boundary Constraint as a limit on what can be legitimately inferred from interaction surfaces alone under conditions where producing composition is not fully present at the point of interaction. The constraint distinguishes between reconstruction and compositional presence and constrains the scope of claims that interaction-surface evaluation alone …

Dynamic Synthesis And Insertion Of Personalized, Context-Aware Media Segments, Zebeedee Pedersen Jul 2026

Dynamic Synthesis And Insertion Of Personalized, Context-Aware Media Segments, Zebeedee Pedersen

Defensive Publications Series

Systems and techniques are described for dynamically generating personalized, context-aware media segments for insertion into media streams. A system can analyze user profile data in conjunction with the primary media content, such as its audio transcript and visual elements, to establish a specific context. A script generation module may then author a new script based on this context, which a multimodal synthesis model can use to create a new audiovisual segment, for instance, employing voice cloning and conditional video generation. This new segment may then be inserted into the primary media stream, such as by manipulating a streaming manifest file, …

System And Techniques To Facilitate Probabilistic Attribute-Based Security Policy Conversions, Renato Morais

Defensive Publications Series

Proposed herein is an artificial intelligence (AI) for information technology operations (AIOps)-driven engine and system that provides for the ability to automate the transition from legacy Internet Protocol (IP)-based rules to identity-centric, zero trust policies. In this context, Security Group Tags (SGTs) are used as an illustrative example of such attribute-based policies. The system correlates identity metadata with real-time traffic telemetry and applies a Stability Index (SI) to evaluate whether a legacy rule can be converted to an attribute-based policy with reduced risk of service disruption. The SI considers identity consistency, temporal persistence, and traffic coverage so that conversion recommendations …

Polymer Precipitation Influences Membrane Mechanical Properties Of Small Extracellular Vesicles (Sevs), Bianca Mercado Velez, Eduardo Barbieri, Taravat Sarvari, Erico Freitas, Paul Goetsch, Caryn Heldt

Michigan Tech Research Data

Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are promising biomarkers and therapeutic delivery vehicles for disease diagnosis and treatment. However, standardizing isolation and characterization techniques is essential, as different isolation methods can alter the biophysical properties of the sEVs. In this study, we compared the physicochemical properties of HEK-293-derived sEVs isolated by polymer precipitation (PP) and sucrose cushion ultracentrifugation (UC). Using atomic force microscopy (AFM) and chemical force microscopy (CFM), we measured the morphology, adhesion, Young’s modulus, and lipid membrane tethering events to understand how the choice of isolation method influences the sEV properties. AFM topographic images revealed the presence of polymeric residues …

Gust-Induced Aerodynamic Performance In Insects' Forward Flapping Flight, Arash Farsani, Ori Stearns, Gal Ribak, Roi Gurka Jul 2026

Gust-Induced Aerodynamic Performance In Insects' Forward Flapping Flight, Arash Farsani, Ori Stearns, Gal Ribak, Roi Gurka

Physics and Engineering Science

Flapping-wing flight is inherently unsteady, where atmospheric gusts can substantially degrade the aerodynamic performance when their characteristic time scales are comparable to the wingbeat period. This study presents a numerical investigation and time–frequency characterization of gust-induced aerodynamic response of flapping wings of varying size, inspired by the flight of a longhorn beetle, Batocera rufomaculata. Geometrically similar wings spanning the biological range were simulated in forward flight under identical prescribed kinematics and a transient frontal gust with a smoothly ramped profile. Three-dimensional unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes simulations using the shear stress transport k–ω turbulence model were performed to resolve the instantaneous pressure …

Towards Resilient Platform Work In The Philippines, Cheryll Ruth Soriano, Jayvy Gamboa, Jan Michael Alexandre Bernadas, China Patricia Villanueva, Marge Medina, Katherine Brimon

SDRC Projects

Platform work is increasingly promoted as a strategy for employment generation in the Philippines. The Philippine Labor Force Survey of 2021 reported that around 1.7 million gig workers are engaged by online platforms or mobile applications, with many depending on it as their primary livelihood. Yet the rapid expansion of platform labor as a livelihood opportunity is unfolding alongside intensifying climate disruption and technological transformation. Extreme heat, flooding, supertyphoons, unstable power infrastructure, and digital dependency are creating new forms of vulnerability for platform workers—many of whom already operate under precarious and weakly protected labor conditions. Due to its archipelagic topography …

Gene Dosage Differences And Non-Linear Impacts On Complex Traits., Craig Smail Jul 2026

Gene Dosage Differences And Non-Linear Impacts On Complex Traits., Craig Smail

Manuscripts, Articles, Book Chapters and Other Papers

Large differences in gene dosage are usually associated with opposite phenotypic effects but show a bias toward one direction in aggregate genome wide. Milind et al. suggest that this is explained by differences in regulatory mechanisms by which genes influence phenotypes and by the increased selective pressures acting on a subset of genes.
