Purpose: This study aims to identify how patients after laryngectomy (PaL) feel about their lives before discharge.

Methods: The participants received total laryngectomy for peri-laryngeal cancer. They were interviewed for physical condition and concerns in daily lives, and how they coped with them before discharge. Qualitative induction was used to analyze. This study was conducted by obtaining the approval of the Ethical Review Committee of the university the researcher belongs to.

Results: All 9 participants were male, and the mean age was 68.2 years.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine changes in psychological adjustment among laryngectomized patients through nursing interventions and to verify the effectiveness of these interventions.

Methods: Of the 76 hospitalized laryngectomy patients who received the study explanation and provided consent, 74 were included. The intervention involved providing information through interviews and a guidebook. The study method involved conducting follow-up surveys at preoperative, pre-discharge, and three months, six months, and one year post-discharge to examine the temporal changes in psychological adjustment. Purpose: This study aims to adapt the Gap-Kalamazoo Communication Skills Assessment for nursing students to enhance their communication skills and align with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials competencies.

Methods: This tool was tested with junior and senior nursing students at two institutions, with data collected through self-evaluations, peer evaluations, and faculty evaluations during clinical and simulation experiences.

Purpose: Youth living with HIV experience stigma, mental health challenges, and barriers to engagement in care. Silver linings are positive shifts in perception, connection, or opportunity that arise from adversity. This project examined silver linings across two studies of youth living with HIV and explored associations with stigma, trust, mental health, and viral suppression.

Methods: An integrated mixed methods design was used. Outpatient medical facilities have become more likely to encounter in-office emergencies related to opioid overdoses. Literature analysis found gaps in health team response capability in outpatient healthcare settings.1

Our aim was to design and implement an opioid overdose simulation at an outpatient substance use disorder clinic. Literature reviewed found 4 essential themes to guide our curriculum development: simulation training, emergency action protocols, response training and equipment readiness.2,3,4,5 These themes were used to create an algorithm on best-practice for overdose response and guided our simulation development.

This descriptive correlational study aimed to investigate the levels of person-centered nursing, Nursing workplace spirituality, and ethical sensitivity among nurses in a tertiary general hospital, and to identify factors influencing person-centered nursing. The instruments used included the Person-Centered Nursing Assessment Tool (PCNAT), the Nursing Workplace Spirituality and the Ethical Sensitivity Scale for Clinical Nurses (ESSCN). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis via SPSS. The Lane-Emden equation is a differential equation that is often used in astrophysics to describe the distribution of the density inside a star, and by extension, its pressure distribution. Analytic solutions of the Lane-Emden equation can only be found at polytropic indices n = 0,1,5, matching certain physical conditions. For all other polytropic values, a numerical solution is needed. In this work, a comparison between two numerical schemes for solving the Lane-Emden equation is presented, namely the Euler method and the classical 4th order Runge-Kutta method. This project investigates determinants and matrix invertibility in finite modular systems, focusing on matrices over Zn. Using the Hill cipher as context, it examines the algebraic conditions under which a matrix is invertible in modular arithmetic. In particular, the project studies how the determinant determines invertibility, showing that a matrix over Zn is invertible if and only if its determinant is coprime with n.   The project further compares invertibility over the real numbers with invertibility over modular systems, highlighting the distinction between prime moduli Zp and composite moduli. Little is known about how resubmission policies affect students in upper-level engineering courses. Previous studies in a lower-level engineering course at Embry-Riddle found that students had a positive perception of the implementation of resubmission policies in relation to their confidence, performance, and sense of belonging. Students also reported that the policies helped them grow through feedback and mistakes, as well as helped improve their learning in the course. The growing population of orbital debris, including a significant amount of debris ranging from 1 to 10 cm, has substantially increased the risk to satellites. Due to the sheer number and high velocities, debris ranging from 1 to 10 cm still has the ability to cause mission-ending damage while remaining undetectable by ground-based detection facilities. This study utilizes the NASA Standard Satellite Breakup Model (NASA SSBM), combined with MATLAB, to propagate debris clouds over extended durations, enabling the identification of high-detection zones and debris rings. Unlike conventional panel or windscreen-mounted systems, the Remora is installed externally, making it a low-profile solution to the ADS-B In challenge. This paper examines how Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) sought to stabilize and normalize its authority through governance in Idlib from 2017 to 2024. It applies the legitimacy-seeking tactics framework developed by McWeeney, Cunningham, and Bauer (2025) to assess five observable strategies used outside direct combat, provision of public goods, participation in conflict mediation, lobbying and cooperation with external actors, conventional political mobilization, and public outreach. Using qualitative interpretive analysis of primary and secondary sources, the study evaluates how these tactics appeared in HTS-linked governance institutions and public-facing practices during sustained territorial rule. The deployment of nuclear weapons in space poses an arms challenge that is both critically important and inherently ambiguous. Although Article IV of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty (OST) explicitly prohibits placing nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction in orbit (UNOOSA, 1966), recent developments suggest that this prohibition is not absolute. In 2024, the U.S. and Japan brought concerns regarding WMD in space to the UN Security Council, calling on states to work to prevent an arms race in space and agree not to place nuclear weapons and WMD in orbit (United Nations Security Council, 2024).
