Strategic Insights

The human brain is becoming a consequential arena of strategic competition. This commentary looks at how cognitive warfare draws on the neural processes underlying perception, emotion, trust, identity, judgment, and decision-making to influence individual and collective behavior. It describes how existing beliefs, biases, social affiliations, and information environments shape the way people interpret and respond to competing narratives, making natural cognitive processes potential targets for exploitation. Data Sets For White Sands National Park Dust Study, Mark R. Sweeney, David Bustos, Patrick Martinez, Gwenn Harsha, Steve Forman, Sarah Chadima, Jenny Hand, Tom Gill

Data and Datasets

These datasets include meteorological data obtained from stations at White Sands National Park from 2023-2024, elemental composition data of dust collected at an Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments (IMPROVE) site (WHIT1), and PI-SWERL dust flux and associated data collected at the park from 2018-2023. These data sets are in support of a paper submitted for publication regarding the factors resulting in frequent dust emissions from White Sands National Park.
