Lack of trust in the healthcare system remains a psychosocial influence of reduced routine cancer screening in the United States. Using the Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS) 6, the specific research problem that was addressed through this study was whether there was a statistically significant relationship between patient-provider communication and provider trust for cancer-related information among African Americans residing in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States. This qualitative narrative study explored the lived experiences of African American women aged 50 and older who self-reported eating pathology and body image dissatisfaction. Disordered eating behaviors, including starvation, binge eating, excessive dieting, and purging, often function as maladaptive coping mechanisms for managing stress, regulating emotions, or responding to traumatic events. The study contributed to the literature by capturing detailed narratives that traced the development of disordered eating behaviors and body image dissatisfaction from early life through adulthood and across the lifespan. Women’s representation in policing has grown throughout time, yet women continue to be underrepresented in policing as well as higher-ranking leadership positions. Despite efforts to increase their representation, many women in policing have yet to receive the proper promotion that they are due over their male counterparts. Evaluation of diabetes management processes at a western primary care clinic found that medical assistants lacked knowledge regarding the use of diabetes assessment tools. This Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) staff education project focused on enhancing medical assistants’ knowledge of the Education Patient Intake Template Assessment Tool to support best practices in T2DM care. A review of current literature using the Johns Hopkins Hierarchy of Evidence Guide identified that evidence from Level I to III informed the project. New research on rural law enforcement stress levels reveals concerning implications for police reform and community safety, particularly in western Colorado where officers face unique challenges. This quantitative study examined age group differences in operational and organizational stress among rural law enforcement officers using one-way ANOVAs with post-hoc Tukey's HSD tests. The study of 191 rural officers found significant differences across age groups for both operational stress (F(2, 188) = 4.08, p = .018, η2 = .042) and organizational stress (F(2, 188) = 4.15, p = .017, η2 = .043), with officers aged 24-27 experiencing the highest stress levels. The doctoral project aimed to measure faculty members’ knowledge and confidence in using virtual reality (VR) simulation to address nursing students limited clinical opportunities.
