Educators have agreed that an education should include the development of social-emotional competencies and conflict resolution (CR) skills. However, only some social-emotional learning (SEL) programs are designed to promote mastery of CR skills. The problem this study addressed was the increase in behavioral incidents in public Colorado elementary schools despite incorporation by kindergarten to sixth (K–6) grade teachers of SEL instruction to prevent student conflict. Background: Health care delivery in rural medical-surgical units is significantly hindered by nurse shortages, particularly in underserved areas. While various approaches to retention have been studied, there remains a lack of focus on sustainable strategies explicitly tailored for rural settings. Purpose: In this integrative review, guided by the situational leadership theory (SLT) framework, sustainable nurse retention strategies for rural medical-surgical units were investigated. The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine the motivations and risk factors of revenge filicide. Revenge filicide is when a parent murders their child or children out of retaliation to inflict emotional pain on the other parent. This descriptive study used 12 revenge filicide cases consisting of five female and seven male offenders to determine the motivation and risk factors for revenge filicide, and attachment theory was used as the theoretical foundation. A rural school in a large district in the south-central United States experienced higher absentee rates for students with disabilities than for students in traditional courses. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore Title I special education teachers’ perspectives about the reasons for chronic absenteeism and barriers affecting attendance of students with disabilities. The staff education project aimed to address the gap in practice regarding the management of aggression in psychiatric patients at a local mental health clinic. Approximately 40% of the clinic’s patient population exhibited aggressive behaviors, including verbal threats, and physical altercations. However, nurses primarily relied on pharmacological interventions and physical restraints to manage these behaviors, which failed to address underlying causes, such as psychiatric conditions and environmental stressors. Summary This doctoral project developed a clinical practice guideline (CPG) to address the critical health issue of early identification of delirium among hospitalized high-risk patients. Hospital delirium is associated with prolonged hospital stay, increased nursing home or rehab use after hospitalization, and higher mortality. Evidence shows that systematic screening improves delirium identification among hospitalized high-risk adults. This qualitative interpretive phenomenological study examined the lived experiences of clinicians working with African American men in OUD treatment programs in Georgia.
