A problem confronting organizations, including mental health organizations, is how leadership will address motivation and satisfaction in a diverse, multigenerational workforce. The purpose of this quantitative, cross-sectional correlational study was to examine the relationship between multigenerational licensed clinician providers and perceptions of their supervisors’ leadership style to predict their motivation and job satisfaction in mental health workplace settings. Older Black women living in public housing have been identified as a high-risk group for experiencing barriers to and underutilization of mental health services. Teacher attrition presents a significant challenge for Northeastern State Middle School Districts (NSMSD), threatening educational stability and student outcomes. This qualitative study examined Grade 6–8 teachers’ perceptions of resilience as a factor influencing their decisions to remain in the teaching profession. Grounded in resilience theory, the study explored how teachers overcame professional challenges and identified supports that promoted retention, addressing a gap in existing research. The problem that this study investigated was that special education high school teachers (SEHSTs) struggled with implementing social emotional learning (SEL) into their teaching of core subjects in Maryland high schools. The purpose of this basic qualitative study was to explore SEHSTs’ perceptions of the challenges with implementing SEL into core subject areas. The postpandemic U.S. federal workforce has experienced shifts in policies and practices about telework, with mixed empirical evidence on its relationship with job satisfaction. Federal government leaders must understand this impact on telework and job satisfaction. Guided by self-determination theory and socioemotional selectivity theory, the purpose of this quantitative correlational study was to examine the relationship between telework usage and job satisfaction among federal employees, with age and supervisory status as moderating variables. Childhood emotional abuse may be underreported and unnoticed. The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to examine whether shared family identity (SFI) with an emotionally abusive childhood caregiver was linked to self-censorship of social and political opinions in adulthood. The study also examined whether this relationship is intensified among those with a strong sense of SFI with that caregiver. Linear multiple regression analysis of survey data collected from 119 participants, recruited through Survey Monkey Audience, revealed that willingness to self-censor was significantly shaped by the interaction between SFI and emotional abuse, especially overcontrol. Peer feedback benefits nursing education and practice by fostering collegial relationships and promoting the quality of care, yet students often lack training to engage effectively. While existing research has examined student perspectives, the experiences and strategies employed by nursing faculty remain underexplored. Subjective Excessive Daytime Sleepiness And Frailty Progression In Veterans Over 50 With Insomnia, Mona Amirmazaheri

Frailty is common in aging veterans and linked to adverse outcomes. This retrospective cohort study of 6,824 veterans with insomnia examined whether excessive daytime sleepiness, sleep treatments, and PTSD affected frailty progression over four years. Frailty was measured using a validated index, with models adjusted for demographics and comorbidities, including chronic coronary insufficiency. Manuscript 1 showed that a higher Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) score (range 0-24) was independently associated with a higher frailty index (FI) (p < .001). A clinical threshold of ≥11 indicated EDS and greater odds of frailty worsening compared to scores <11 (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) = 1.16, 95% CI [1.02, 1.32], p = .021). There was no significant interaction between ESS and time, suggesting that sEDS reflects persistently elevated frailty levels rather than accelerated decline. Manuscript 2 showed that nonpharmacologic sleep interventions were protective, while pharmacotherapy was associated with increased frailty risk. Cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia was associated with lower odds of frailty worsening (aOR = 0.31, 95% CI [0.19, 0.53], p < .001), and continuous positive airway pressure therapy also reduced risk (aOR = 0.55, 95% CI [0.39, 0.76], p < .001). In contrast, sleep medications were associated with increased odds of frailty progression (aOR = 1.16, 95% CI [1.02, 1.32], p = .021). Manuscript 3 showed that PTSD was not associated with baseline frailty levels but showed a significant time interaction (B = 0.001, p = .008), indicating modest acceleration of frailty progression among affected veterans. Findings support positive social change through early sEDS screening and trauma-informed, nonpharmacologic sleep care to reduce frailty in veterans.

It evaluated changes in provider knowledge and prescribing intent following an evidence-based educational intervention by asking, “Does staff education on antibiotic stewardship in an urgent care setting enhance knowledge when compared to pre- and post-education assessments?” The purpose was to increase provider knowledge, confidence, and adherence to stewardship principles while influencing prescribing intent. In recent years, greater attention has been paid to the effects of sexual abuse within Christianity. There was a need for greater understanding of the psychological aspect of spiritual abuse within familial dynamics. The purpose of this qualitative study was to describe the phenomenon of emotional spiritual abuse that victims experience within Christian families. Using a theoretical foundation based on Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory and Bowen's family systems theory, this study focused on relationships within victims’ microsystem, mesosystem, and exosystem. African immigrant entrepreneurs experience obstructions in growing their businesses into nationally recognized names in the United States. Business leaders and policymakers need to understand the obstructions inhibiting African immigrant entrepreneurs’ success. Grounded in human capital theory, the purpose of this qualitative single case study was to explore the factors experienced by African immigrant entrepreneurs as obstructions for African immigrant-owned businesses from growing into nationally recognized names in the United States.
