OXFORD, Miss. -- A celebratory service for Winthrop Jordan, professor emeritus of history and African-American studies at the University of Mississippi, is scheduled for Monday (March 5). "Celebration of Life for Win Jordan" begins at 7 p.m. at UM's Paris-Yates Chapel. Jordan, 75, died at his home Feb. 23 after a long illness.
