Fans of John Mayer recognize that as the lyrics from his 2003 hit single. As the lyrics came to mind, I couldn't help but giggle to myself-- sitting there in my parked car, looking straight up and seeing this overwhelmingly large reproduction of myself. The April 9 issue of News & Events is again the home of lots of terrific RIT stories. On page one of this current issue, you'll read about a research project taking an interesting look at how photographs impact civil rights and social activism in the United States. Wacky Winter Weather Wreaks Havoc On Spring Sports Schedules, Rit University News

As I awoke yesterday morning, ate breakfast and left my house to head to RIT, I was delayed a bit longer than I wanted to be. Yes, I watched the weather reports on Monday evening and heard the snow pellets hitting my living room windows while pretending to watch the supremely boring North Carolina-Michigan State National Championship game. What I didn't expect was to be scraping ice off my car. I knew there would be snow, a heavy, wet snow as predicted by our favorite meteorologists all around town and on the Weather Channel. That wasn't any regular, wet snow …

For my blog post this week, I thought it might be interesting to offer a few effective blog-writing techniques from a newspaper editor's perspective.
