The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyze the marketing practices involved in leasing farm equipment by selected independently owned and operated farm equipment dealers in North Dakota. The data, for this study was obtained by personal interviews of farm equipment dealers who lease.

Farm equipment retailing has its origins in the hardware store of the nineteenth century. Retailing of farm equipment in North Dakota, began in the late 1800's. The North Dakota. Implement Dealers Association was formed in 1899.

The intent of this paper is to uncover the political activity of William Langer from the Morton County State’s Attorney days of 1914 to his election as governor of North Dakota in 1932.

The first bold signs of Langer’s entertaining political ambitions came during his break with the original Nonpartisan League leaders during the time he served as North Dakota's Attorney General, 1916-1920. The Independent Voters Association helped him to realize a measure of political strength when they used him as a candidate for governor in 1920. Despite the number of general and specific studies of Populism, there is no unanimity of opinion on the progressive or retrogressive nature of Populist thought, nor on its specific characteristics. By examining the specific attributes of Populism through newspapers, manuscripts, and public documents, this case study focuses on the progressive or retrogressive nature of North and South Dakota Populist thought.

On the whole, North Dakota Populism fails to reveal a progressive nature. First, the North Dakota Populists lacked a viable movement. Secondly, their thought and political endeavors suggest opportunism rather than progressivism. Thirdly, the common ground of their thought discloses …

Problem: The purpose of this study was to determine the direction of change in selected attitudinal characteristics of male students who were either members of a judiciary board (Group 1, N=51), or appeared before a judiciary board (Group 2, N=ll), or had no contact with a judiciary board (Group 3, N=110) while living in the residence halls at the University of North Dakota.

Procedure: The main sources of data for this study were the Allport- Vernon-Lindzey Study of Values, the Rokeach Dogmatism Scale E, and the Adjective Check List. These instruments were administered to the research population early in the …

To write a descriptive history of the Davis County Clipper and its editors was the purpose of this study.

The first person involved with the newspaper was Lamoni Call who had been printing a small brochure to advertise his business. He asked John Stahle, Sr. to join him in printing some news along with the advertisments.

Regular publication began early in 1891 under the name of the The Little Clipper. Dissolution of the partnership came in 1894. Mr. Stahle maintained the editorial side of the newspaper his entire life. His son John Stahle, Jr. lived and loved the printing …

The purpose of this study was twofold: to determine the attitudes of students toward different parts and methods of grading in LDS Seminary, and to determine if significant differences exist in attitudes of students toward their class and teacher when using different methods of grading including a suggested method.

The study reported the areas most preferred by students about grading and the areas least preferred. It reported the evaluation of the suggested method of grading including those areas of most value to the students and those of least value.
