This thesis provides in depth analysis of small angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) experiments conducted on the beta-high crystallin eye lens cytoplasm protein. In particular, radius of gyration and molecular weight measurements are extracted and compared to measurements from existing work. Furthermore, an approach to math ematically modeling the scattering ”form-factor”, which describes the size and shape of individual particles, is also developed and applied to the SAXS data. The model acheived in the thesis appears to agree closely with scattering data at the low q range. The capability to predict rainfall effectively is crucial for both economic planning and safety measures. This project examined the performance of three well-known forecasting models: Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), and Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving-Average (SARIMA) to determine their accuracy in predicting rainfall patterns. Extensive analysis of data was conducted to identify which model was the most reliable and accurate, considering varying climatic conditions and time scales. Shortly after moving to America in the 1970s, Mari began illustrating comic strips about a Japanese family, emulating the cartoons she saw in newspapers. She sent a letter to the creator of Garfield, Jim Davis, and included her comics. Davis sent her a response, and told her that her artwork was good. The effects of air injection on the heat transfer coefficient for the liquid flow in two-phase in microchannels are studied. Different manifolds and microchannel configurations are used for studying the effects of air injection. The manifold has a uniform gap of 400μm between the heater chip and the cover. Electric-double-layer (EDL) gating is a promising alternative to conventional gating methods for field-effect transistors (FETs), with potential applications spanning current logic, future logic, and neuromorphic computing architectures. This technique employs mobile ions in an electrically insulating but ionically conductive medium to generate strong local electric fields at the gate-to-channel interface, achieving field magnitudes on the order of 1 V/nm. These intense local fields enable significant charge carrier accumulation in the semiconducting channel, positioning EDL gating as a strong candidate for device applications. This study examines the induction program practices for new teachers in United Arab Emirates (UAE) public schools. It evaluates key components—including orientation, mentoring, professional development, teacher networking, and administrative support— and analyzes their impact on new teachers’ integration, professional growth, and overall satisfaction. Additionally, it investigates how demographic factors such as nationality, educational qualifications, and teaching experience influence teachers’ experiences and perceptions. By employing a cross-sectional survey design, quantitative data were collected from 150 public school teachers across various emirates. Though it is well established that mental illness is not a primary risk factor for criminal justice involvement, the relationship between mental illness and criminal risk with justice-involved persons with mental illness is not well understood (Bonta, et al., 1998; Morgan, et al., 2010; Skeem, et al., 2014). Stereotypy refers to a class of operant repetitive motor and vocal responses with no readily apparent goal or purpose (Rapp & Vollmer, 2005; Singer, 2009; Wunderlich et al., 2023). Although most stereotypy is clinically insignificant and does not warrant treatment (i.e., nail biting, hair twirling), some stereotypy persists at a frequency or severity which interferes with skill acquisition, social interactions, and daily living skills. By addressing the limitations of traditional blockchains - such as high transaction latency, scalability challenges, and privacy concerns - this research demonstrates how Hyperledger fabrics overcomes them. Through simulation, we show significant enhancements in transaction speed, data privacy and scalability, making the Fabric a viable solution for industrial systems.
