The purpose of this study was to compare factors that may affect breastfeeding duration or cessation in preterm and term infants during the first year of life. A 50- question survey was administered using SurveyMonkey™ and distributed through social media platforms. Participants were able to enter a drawing for an Amazon gift card as incentive. This gland is responsible for the synthesis and secretion of the hormone progesterone, which is critical for the establishment and maintenance of pregnancy. In a non-pregnant cow, PGF2a is released from the uterus to regress the corpus luteum. However, in the case of pregnancy, the embryo must mitigate PGF2a synthesis to prevent corpus luteum regression. This thesis examines the contributions of tonal analysis to narrative readings of three nineteenth-century pieces. The method used originates from the work of two theorists, Byron Almén and Fred Lerdahl. Almén’s 2008 book, A Theory of Musical Narrative, outlines narrative archetypes. Lerdahl’s 2004 book, Tonal Pitch Space, provides a sophisticated approach to tonal analysis. While federal agencies sample sediment and water quality in the main LMR channel, little is known about sedimentary dynamics, water quality, and nutrient concentrations of the overbank water column within the embanked LMR floodplain. These data are needed to support ecological floodplain restoration efforts and provide context for downstream concerns including sediment delivery to coastal zones and hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Pascagoula River in southeastern Mississippi is the largest remaining un-impounded river system in the contiguous United States and have seen a change in fish assemblages over time. Examination of long-term fish assemblage data show that the mainstem Pascagoula River and its two major tributaries (mainstem Leaf and Chickasawhay Rivers) have been dominated by five abundant taxa that comprise 83% of individuals sampled, with Cyprinella venusta in the highest abundance. The modified HAM can be viewed as a more generalized method that encloses many perturbation and non-perturbation methods. Mosquitoes were collected in three periods during late 2018 and early 2019 and were identified to the species level. Socioeconomic factors were measured using foot surveys and U.S. Census data. Pseudomonas synxantha 2-79 is a biocontrol agent that represents beneficial indigenous rhizobacteria that are broadly distributed in the Pacific Northwest, USA and flourish in the rhizosphere of commercially grown wheat under surprisingly arid conditions. The molecular adaptation of 2-79-like bacteria to plants growing in dry soils is poorly understood.
