The Final Generation: A Descriptive Account Of The Development Of A Significant Aspect Of M.L. Andreasen's Eschatology As Related To His Treatment Of The Sanctuary Doctrine Between 1924-1937, Dwight Eric Haynes
Master's Theses
The purpose of this study is to examine the chronological development of Milian Lauritz Andreasen's final-generation theology and its connection within his treatment of the doctrine of the sanctuary during the years of 1924-1937. The final generation consists of individuals who attain character perfection. They endure the time of trouble. Andreasen declares that because God has reproduced the character of His Son in them perfectly, they possess the attitude whereby they would rather die than sin. The final-generation possesses the Holy Spirit in its fullness after Christ leaves the Most Holy Place. Andreasen is explicit that the Christian victory experience …

A Study Of Deuteronomic And Priestly Legislation With Particular Reference To Clean And Unclean Foods, Vivienne J. Fletcher-Watts
Master's Theses
Problem The laws of clean and unclean foods in Lev 11 and Deut 14: 3:21 have fascinated and perplexed generations of b ib lica l scholars. A great v ariety of suggestions have been proposed as reasons fo r the distin ctio n between the clean and unclean animals. Modern b ib lica l scholars claim, however, that the Levitical and Deuteronomic codes are in tern a lly inconsistent. These claims are of s u ffic ie n t magnitude that i f true might c a ll into question the assumption th at both were given by God at …

The Post-Postmodern Aesthetics Of John Fowles, Claiborne Johnson Cordle
The Post-Postmodern Aesthetics Of John Fowles, Claiborne Johnson Cordle
Master's Theses
Because a thesis is by definition a proposi tion to be argued, I feel some obigation to make strong assertion--either John Fowles is a post modernist writer, or John Fowles is not a postmodernist writer. What is immediately "problematic" about such an either/or proposition is that each side can be argued convincingly by a careful process of selection of examples to support the prospective cases (and omission of those which refute them). I cannot easily dismiss the wisdom of Northrop Frye's statement that, "They think of ideas as weapons; they seek the irrefutable argument, which keeps eluding them because all …
A Critique Of Three Psychological Theories Of Behavior And The Presuppositions Which Underly Their Model Of Man, Marek Jantos
A Critique Of Three Psychological Theories Of Behavior And The Presuppositions Which Underly Their Model Of Man, Marek Jantos
Master's Theses
Problem Each psychological theory of behavior is based on a specific model of man. The models of man in turn , are built on particular presuppositions concerning the nature of man. To fully understand the implications and limitations of the different models and theories it is necessary to examine the presuppositions upon which each model and theory is built. The purpose of this study is to examine and critique the presuppositions of three models of man as presented in three psychological theories of behavior. Method The method of this study consisted of a search of literature using as primary sources …
