Loneliness is an increasingly recognized public health issue, especially among the elderly, where it contributes to the decline in both physical and mental health (WHO Commission on Social Connection, 2024). In the geriatric population, loneliness is associated with increased risks of depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, cardiovascular disease, falls, and overall mortality (Holt-Lunstad, et al. 2015; Millett et al., 2024; National Institute on Ageing, 2019). Loneliness in congregate care settings is often exacerbated by residents' loss of physical mobility, death of spouses, removal of the individual from their neighborhood and community, and reduced autonomy. The project addresses the pressing issue of poor interprofessional collaboration in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and its impact on care coordination. The practice-based question guiding the study is whether the implementation of a hybrid telehealth model of structured interprofessional bedside rounds (SIBR) impacts the relational coordination (RC) survey scores of nursing staff in SNFs. The project evaluates the impact of an innovative collaborative model on RC scores in two SNFs using a quantitative quasi-experimental before and after study design. We longitudinally examined employment status and quality of life with 199 laryngectomized patients. QOL assessed by the SF-36 was low until twelve months after discharge. It is necessary to continue physical and psychological support for those who want to continue to work after their discharge from hospital.

Our study can investigate cardiopulmonary endurance associated effect factors and predictors, specifically age, gender, disease severity, BMI, dyspnea, respiratory muscle strength, lower extremity muscle strength, and lower limb muscle endurance. Our result s finds risk factors and could be a predictor of cardiopulmonary endurance in COPD's elderly inpatients.

This study examined the neurobehavioral effects related to time slept per day, sleep efficiency, and sleep quality. Actigraph sleep watches and the Pittsburg Quality Sleep Index were used to assess sleep. Study results showed significant relationships with several neurobehavioral measures.

This feasibility study evaluated a foot care self-management program on community-dwelling older adults without diabetes. Findings from a review of current literature indicated a lack of any existing models for linking eligible SUD patients to PrEP services.
