Cognitive Workload And Performance Evaluation In A Telemedical Simulation, Jennifer Jean Hahus
Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Telecommunication is a rapidly expanding form o f interacting with a distant party. Medicine has become a popular forum for using this technology in a field known as telemedicine. Telemedical interactions may involve anything from transmitting x-rays over great distances to examining a patient in real time via a television monitor. The present research addresses one such risk: the consequences of excessive cognitive workload imposed by the telecommunication per se. It was the goal of …
Parents' Knowledge And Attitudes Of Inclusionary Education, Deborah F. Guyer
Parents' Knowledge And Attitudes Of Inclusionary Education, Deborah F. Guyer

Parents are unaware of the constant changes being made regarding their child's education and therefore, may …
Factors Related To Attrition From Residential Chemical Dependency Treatment, Jon Evans Hapner
Factors Related To Attrition From Residential Chemical Dependency Treatment, Jon Evans Hapner
Graduate Theses and Dissertations

The present study had four purposes. First, the hypothesis was investigated that as abuse becomes more severe, subjective distress and codependency will become more pronounced. Second, multiple factors were investigated in relation to attrition from residential chemical dependency treatment. These factors included severity of alcohol and drug abuse, subjective distress, feelings of worthlessness, mistrust of …
