Teacher Load In The Three, Four, And Five Teacher High Schools Of South Dakota, Newton C. Staley

This study deals with the problem of teacher load in three, four and five teacher, four year accredited high schools in the state of South Dakota. These schools compromise 62.7 percent of all the four year accredited high schools in the state. They represent, in general, the type of high school that most of our small communities operate; and furnish secondary education to a large majority of our rural boys and girls.

A paper published in 1925 by M. Eguchi (1) described the preparation of a permanently charged wax on its solidification in a rather strong electrostatic field. Such charged bodies were named electrets. Later work has shown the charge will remain essentially constant over a period of several years. A rather extensive investigation was carried on by A. Germant (2) and published in 1935.

Nearly every modern language has been utilized to present to the reading public literary productions showing the importance of Ralph Waldo Emerson as a writer. Studies in this respect are to be found in German, French, Spanish, to say nothing of English. Monographs, essays, biographies, and treaties in all of these languages deal with one aspect or another of this man who had unprecedented influence on nineteenth century America
