An Analysis Of Current Printing Programs At Southern Negro Universities And Colleges Granting The Bachelor Of Science Degree, By Ford Ratcliff

Electronic Theses and Dissertations

Constant evaluation is necessary to determine whether or not an education curriculum is serving the purpose for which it was designed. Curriculum construction is the result of the efforts of one man or a staff of men, usually based upon his or their experience in the field. Because of this fact, the resulting curriculum may be inadequate for the total development of the student in the area of his education. Little, if any, study has been made of Negro universities and colleges with reference to general curricula for printing programs found in such institutions. It is the purpose of this …

A Comparison Of Motor Abilities Of Normal And Mentally Retarded Children, Dwayne G. Head

Electronic Theses and Dissertations

The problem of education for the mentally retarded is fast becoming a major problem in the field of education. According to the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, 126,000, or 3 out of every 100 children born in United States each year, are mentally retarded. Proper education for the mentally retarded child presents a problem. Presently, the retarded child is completely segregated from the normal child in the academic subjects; however, the mentally retarded child is integrated with the normal student in physical education classes. The theory behind this practice is that retarded students would be able to …

Mobridge, South Dakota, is a town of approximately 4,400 residents located beside the Missouri River in the north central part of the state. Mobridge is a progressive city and has shown its interest in the physical and social well-being of its citizens. Physical education is an integral and vital part of education. It is necessary to evaluate any existing program of physical education periodically to reexamine the aims and objectives and to make certain that the needs, interests, and abilities of individual students are actually …
