Measuring The Effectiveness Of Large-Scale Discipleship Methods In Adult Believers: A Study Of The Southwest Church Rooted Experience, Kim Walton Harrell
Measuring The Effectiveness Of Large-Scale Discipleship Methods In Adult Believers: A Study Of The Southwest Church Rooted Experience, Kim Walton Harrell
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Spiritually mature believers bear the burden of responsibility for an early-stage believer’s discipleship development. As a believer matures over time, the weight of responsibility shifts from the church corporately to the individual believer’s responsibility to disciple himself and others. Southwest Church has approximately 3,500 adult attendees on an average weekend and has the responsibility to disciple large numbers of early-stage believers in their faith journey. This research of large-scale programmatic discipleship methods centers on the Rooted experience recently adopted at Southwest Church. The purpose of this DMIN action research thesis is to positively affect the early discipleship development of adult …

The Impact Of Instructional Coaching On Efficacy In General Education Teachers In Inclusion Classrooms, Kelli Sheriff Jenkins
The Impact Of Instructional Coaching On Efficacy In General Education Teachers In Inclusion Classrooms, Kelli Sheriff Jenkins
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The purpose of this quantitative, causal-comparative study was to determine if there was a difference in teacher efficacy between general education teachers who are coached by a special education instructional coach and general education teachers who have not been coached by a special education instructional coach. Federal mandates, such as the Every Student Succeeds Act and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, guarantee that students with disabilities are included in the general education classroom. General education teachers need to be qualified to teach in an inclusive classroom, yet research overwhelmingly demonstrates that they do not feel prepared or effective. Currently, very …

Bullying Victimization In Middle Schools: A Quantitative Correlational Study, Corey Centwane Calhoun Sr.
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Bullying victimization is a very common, complex and potentially damaging form of violence among children and adolescents. Bullying is defined as unwanted, aggressive behavior, which involves a real or perceived social power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time (therefore, the definition excludes occasional or minor incidents). Bullying victimization in schools is not only alarming, but it has now become a persuasive concern, one that should be evaluated closely by educators, parents, and policymakers in all school systems. In public schools, 1 in 10 reports at least a case of serious violent crime, …

Participants consisted of four-hundred and thirty-nine married women who were recruited via Qualtrics. The women completed inventories to assess for SBW endorsement, marital satisfaction, depression, anxiety, and both negative and positive religious coping. The results indicated embracing characteristics of SBW-stoicism predicted decreased marital satisfaction and increased anxiety and depression. In …

No matter the reasons for the decline, changes are needed to ensure the health and resilience of the CME Church if it is …

Revitalizing Health Information Systems, Lydia Ann Peregoy
Revitalizing Health Information Systems, Lydia Ann Peregoy
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The evolution of medicinal practices has partnered with the dynamic nature of technology to produce health information systems (HIS). This type of equipment allows medical facilities to exchange data and offers patients the autonomy to monitor and control their health data. While this connotation seems revolutionary and ideal for all members involved in healthcare, several deficiencies have been noted throughout literature to include decentralized electronic health records (EHRs) and decreased accessibility, affordability, and quality of care. This study was compartmentalized into three separate sections to evaluate why organizations are delaying in their efforts to adopt a nationally accessible HIS/EHR system. …
