For this research, complexity leadership interactions, social network dynamics, and information flow were studied to discover …

A Mixed Methods Study To Evaluate The Nature Of The Lead Pastor's Psychological Capital And The Impact On Leading Church Revitalization, Toney Allen Cox
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
In response to the substantial amount of church revitalization that is necessary to cause a noteworthy decrease in the 70 percent of churches in America that are declining or plateauing (Rainer, 2019, para. 4), lead pastors carry a biblical responsibility to lead churches into growth and spiritual health (Jamieson, 2011, para. 15-16). While church planting is a respectable portion of the macro solution, revitalizing declining or plateaued existing churches is an equally significant part of the solvent. However, a substantial majority of revitalization literature and education focuses on the practical methodology of implementing church renewal and emphasizing the lead pastor’s …

The Lone Star On Relief: The Story Of The Texas Federal Writers' Project, 1935-1943, Michael William Mitchell
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
My academic interest in the Federal Writers’ Project (FWP) began in 1993. I have been interested in the Works Progress Administration (WPA) from the time I was in my middle school years listening to stories from my grandmother. As a result, I grew up feeling that the WPA represented a part of a remarkable time and was a fascinating attempt by the far-away national government to help ordinary people in Texas struck down by the Great Depression. While conducting research on my master’s thesis, I met an archivist at the Southern Historical Collection at the University of North Carolina who …

Current evidence demonstrates that the number of prehospital nurse practitioners working in both civilian and military settings is growing. Additional training beyond the formal nurse practitioner curriculum is necessary to increase the self-efficacy, knowledge, and skills of the nurse practitioner for operational battlefield conditions in far-forward austere and tactical settings. Evidence also demonstrates that the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) course is the national standard for tactical care and training for all health care providers. The purpose of this evidence-based pilot study was to increase the tactical self-efficacy of the United States based nontactical civilian highly trained and skilled flight …
A Leadership Training Program Improves Nurse Manager Retention, Lisa A. Longley
A Leadership Training Program Improves Nurse Manager Retention, Lisa A. Longley
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The need to retain nursing managers is at an all-time high. The turnover rate for a local xxxxxxxxxx (removed to protect privacy) healthcare system is 14% post pandemic compared to 8% pre-pandemic. A Correlational Study Of The Resilience Factors That Promote Mental Health In First Responders, Tamara Rae Grayson
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
Too often, the title first responder (FR) has been correlated with mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety, substance use, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). There was a need to address the mental health of this unique at-risk population prior to developing a mindset that being a FR translates into also suffering from mental illness, due to repeated exposure to traumatic situations. The purpose of this correlational study was to identify the resilience factors in FRs, what unique and untreated exposure to traumatic events looks like in FRs, what normal treatment and early interventions for mental illnesses in FRs is, the …

Dimensionality Reduction: Principal Component Analysis Of Workload Of An Nba Game, Brian Audelio Serrano
Dimensionality Reduction: Principal Component Analysis Of Workload Of An Nba Game, Brian Audelio Serrano
Doctoral Dissertations and Projects
The worlds of sports science, data analytics, and sports performance are at a crossroads. Each field is accustomed to functioning in relative silos; however, this approach is quickly becoming outdated. Sporting organizations are adopting high-performance models that integrate all departments and their subsequent data pipelines. This has led to a wealth of information not available before to a team’s performance health staff in guiding optimal athletic performance. Within the sport of basketball, these silos can be split further into video coaching, basketball analytics, sports science, player development, and performance health. Specifically, basketball sports science can be categorized into internal and …
