By virtue of its very high speed, DDR memory is an important component of cloud servers. Such memory is expensive and forms a substantial portion of the total cost of ownership (TCO) of cloud servers. This disclosure describes techniques to selectively use persistent memory (PMEM) as a cheaper alternative to DDR to reduce cost. Many 360° videos captured using a camera rig and tripod setup have artifacts related to the tripod that the rig is attached to. This disclosure describes automatic removal of such artifacts by use of machine learning techniques. Portions of the video that include artifacts are detected and removed automatically using trained machine learning model(s). The ML models are trained to recognize production equipment based on videos captured in neutral environments or based on markers on the production equipment. The detected artifacts are automatically replaced based on the context and ensuring that the resultant video is stable.

Central web authentication (CWA) is widely deployed for guest user authentication in environments that include a Remote Authentication Dial-In User (RADIUS) server. The various CWA flows work well with existing security policy management platforms without any security concerns, but potentially there could be security issues while working with third-party RADIUS servers. To address these types of challenges, techniques are presented herein that support, among other things, enhanced CWA flows to work with untrusted RADIUS servers and selectively extending Layer 3 (L3) authentication timeouts for high-profile customers.

Typically, a collaboration tool, such as a video teleconferencing/messaging tool, facilitates intra-company communications through directory services that can be provided for the tool. As different companies can be included within the overall ecosystem of collaboration tool, inter-company communications may be desirable. However, the current contact paradigm for sharing contacts within a company may be insufficient when multiple users having a same name or identity may exist across multiple different companies. Presented herein is a technique to address such challenges by enhancing contact information to include additional identifiers that can be used to distinguish users among different companies.

When a memory access for a dynamic random access memory (DRAM) is completed, the accessed page is closed, which consumes energy and time. In the presence of workloads with temporal access locality, such operation is expensive and introduces latency.
