Automated Synthesis Of Verifiable Automation Packages From Interactive Session Telemetry, Romek Rutowski, Piotr Nalewajko, Paramesh Manickavelu Jul 2026

Automated Synthesis Of Verifiable Automation Packages From Interactive Session Telemetry, Romek Rutowski, Piotr Nalewajko, Paramesh Manickavelu

Defensive Publications Series

A challenge in systems management can be converting workflows from interactive, non-deterministic sessions with agentic systems into reusable automation, as some methods may involve manual refactoring or produce scripts with environmental dependencies. An automated pipeline can ingest unstructured session telemetry, such as command logs, and programmatically synthesize a structured and self-contained software package. For example, the system can distill a sequence of operations, perform dependency resolution to create executable commands, flatten logic for portability, and generate a validation suite based on the original session's outputs. This process can convert an ephemeral workflow into a more deterministic and portable asset, which …

Privacy-Preserving Feedback Loop Using Synthesized Contextual Exemplars, Tomek Rutowski, Paramesh Manickavelu, Paul Hsu, Saeed Mirza, Stevan Malesevic

Defensive Publications Series

A challenge for natural-language-to-SQL systems involves leveraging historical user context to improve query generation while mitigating privacy and security risks associated with storing raw user data. A method can address this through a privacy-preserving feedback loop. A system can programmatically identify successful query interactions, and then anonymize and synthesize the conversational history into an exemplar composed of a synthetic natural language intent and its corresponding successful structured query language query. These anonymized exemplars may be stored in a shared, decoupled repository. When a user submits a new query, relevant historical exemplars can be retrieved and injected as few-shot examples into …

First-Turn Response Caching For Conversational Ai Agents Using Context-Aware Keys, Ankit Aggarwal Jul 2026

First-Turn Response Caching For Conversational Ai Agents Using Context-Aware Keys, Ankit Aggarwal

Defensive Publications Series

Conversational artificial intelligence systems may experience inefficiencies when processing high-frequency initial user queries, as routing repetitive requests to a backend generative model can lead to redundant computations and increased response latency. A response caching system can use pre-model and post-model execution callbacks to manage a cache, for example, an in-memory cache. For certain requests, such as qualifying first-turn requests, the system may generate a context-aware composite key from a user's query text, an agent's system instructions, and its available tools. If a matching key is found, a stored response can be returned, which may bypass a call to the backend …

Accelerating Emergency Call Retry By Inferring Bearer Deactivation From Ancillary Network Messages, Edison Chen Jul 2026

Accelerating Emergency Call Retry By Inferring Bearer Deactivation From Ancillary Network Messages, Edison Chen

Defensive Publications Series

Mobile communication systems may experience delays when retrying a failed emergency call during a network handover. These delays can occur when a user equipment (UE), such as a smartphone, smart watch, or vehicle communication system, waits for a network timer to expire to confirm resource release from a failed connection, particularly if a deactivation confirmation message is not received. A technique is described where a UE's communication modem can infer the deactivation of a failed bearer by analyzing ancillary network messages, such as a tracking area update accept message. The modem can parse an information element within this message that …

Soliciting Autonomous Agent Feedback Via Augmented Response Payloads, Chairy Cheung Jul 2026

Soliciting Autonomous Agent Feedback Via Augmented Response Payloads, Chairy Cheung

Defensive Publications Series

Feedback collection methods designed for human users may be less effective in environments where autonomous agents are consumers of software tools, potentially affecting service improvement. A direct feedback channel can be established by augmenting tool response payloads with machine-parsable instructions. These instructions can prompt a compliant agent to construct and transmit a feedback report, which can be enriched with contextual information from the agent's perspective. This feedback can be solicited, for example, following an error or on a sampled basis for successful operations. The resulting feedback loop can provide data that may inform enhancements to tool performance and usability for …

Impulse Batching For Machine Learning Workloads, Jaideep Singh, Gaurang Upasani, Sushma Honnavara Prasad, Tapan Chugh, Arvind Krishnamurthy

Defensive Publications Series

Power consumption is a significant constraint in the effective deployment of machine learning computing hardware. The use of eager batching for ML serving can cause ML Accelerator (MLA) system process sub-optimal batches for a majority of ML workloads. This can result in very high duty cycles and provides limited opportunities for power saving. This disclosure describes impulse batching techniques for ML serving. Impulse batching exploits peaks and troughs in the diurnal cycle. Under impulse batching, queries that arrive within a configurable duration X are grouped into larger batch sizes, especially at lower query per second (QPS) values prior to being …

Extending Label Distribution Protocol To Support Interior Gateway Protocol Flexible Algorithm, Anonymous Jul 2026

Extending Label Distribution Protocol To Support Interior Gateway Protocol Flexible Algorithm, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

Systems and methods extend the Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) to support an Interior Gateway Protocol (IGP) Flexible Algorithm (Flex-Algo). A Forwarding Equivalence Class (FEC) is redefined as a composite key based on an Internet Protocol (IP) prefix together with an algorithm identifier, and the composite key is carried in a Flex-Algo Prefix FEC Element within an LDP Label Mapping message. A router allocates and advertises multiple distinct local labels for the same destination prefix, with each label mapped to a different IGP algorithm. LDP peers negotiate Flex-Algo support during session establishment using a capability indication carried in an LDP Initialization …

Design And Structural Architecture Of A Non-Equilibrium Hydrothermal Liquefaction Reactor Utilizing Multi-Stage Wave-Field Catalysis And Fluidized Acoustic Boundary Transport, Christopher L. Eckes Jul 2026

Design And Structural Architecture Of A Non-Equilibrium Hydrothermal Liquefaction Reactor Utilizing Multi-Stage Wave-Field Catalysis And Fluidized Acoustic Boundary Transport, Christopher L. Eckes

Defensive Publications Series

This technical design paper presents the formalized architecture for a continuous-flow, process-intensified Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) system designed to convert heterogeneous, highly viscous organic waste streams—such as municipal sewage sludge, microplastics, and halogenated industrial wastes—into drop-in synthetic biocrude and valuable chemical fractions.

Legacy HTL systems suffer from severe, interlocking mechanical liabilities: thermal boundary-layer coking, flow stagnation, extreme chloride/fluoride corrosion, and rapid catalytic deactivation via structural sintering. This architecture systematically bypasses these limits by abandoning static reactor geometry and internal dynamic mechanical components.

The physical configuration relies on a vertical, gravity-assisted cascade of high-pressure, un-equilibrated spherical reaction vessels constructed from high-performance alloys …

Building A Self-Reinforcing Open-Hardware Engineering Ecosystem A Modular Systems Method Where Every New Invention Strengthens The Entire Portfolio, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr. Jul 2026

Building A Self-Reinforcing Open-Hardware Engineering Ecosystem A Modular Systems Method Where Every New Invention Strengthens The Entire Portfolio, Michael Victor Caldwell Mr.

Defensive Publications Series

Most inventions are developed as isolated systems. A different approach is possible: designing an interconnected engineering ecosystem where each invention is built from reusable modules, and every improvement to a shared module strengthens multiple systems across the portfolio.

This document describes a methodology for creating self-reinforcing open-hardware architectures through modular design, shared subsystems, cross-domain integration, and continuous refinement.

The goal is not to replace traditional engineering validation. Instead, this approach creates a structured pathway where concepts become easier to prototype, evaluate, improve, and adapt through shared engineering foundations.

Defensive Publications Series

This disclosure describes a proactive traffic engineering recovery mechanism for Resource Reservation Protocol - Traffic Engineering (RSVP-TE) tunnels based on physical-layer link degradation indicators, such as cyclic redundancy check (CRC) errors. Existing RSVP-TE and transport control-plane mechanisms generally react only after hard failures, such as link-down events, loss of signal, Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) timeout, or RSVP signaling timeout. However, high-speed optical and packet networks may experience soft failures in which a link remains operationally up while packet corruption or error rates increase due to fiber degradation, dirty connectors, optic issues, or other physical-layer impairments. In such cases, traffic continues …
