Octvec-Xd: Deterministic Multi-Resolution Integer Signatures For Multidimensional Vectors, Nenad Micic
Octvec-Xd: Deterministic Multi-Resolution Integer Signatures For Multidimensional Vectors, Nenad Micic
Defensive Publications Series
A technique is proposed herein for converting a multivariate integer vector into a deterministic, fixed-size, multi-resolution signature that separates sign pattern, magnitude scale, quantization frame, and coarse-to-fine direction. Exact integer quantization, bounded portable arithmetic, nested resolution fields, and versioned records provide reproducible results across heterogeneous platforms without floating-point arithmetic, training, dynamic allocation, or per-stream model state. Under a common pinned frame and the declared lossless coarse capacity, participating devices or streams can be correlated by exact tuple equality, while a graded comparison ladder supports finer similarity evaluation. The technique explicitly identifies capacity limits, collision regimes, frame-compatibility requirements, reverse quantization bounds, …

Theta-Xd: Integer-Only Direction Change And Slow-Drift Detection In Multivariate Telemetry Streams, Nenad Micic
Theta-Xd: Integer-Only Direction Change And Slow-Drift Detection In Multivariate Telemetry Streams, Nenad Micic
Defensive Publications Series
A system is proposed herein for detecting sudden turns, changes in turning behavior, and slow drift in the joint movement of multivariate telemetry counters. The system uses an overflow-bounded integer direction metric and an exact division-free threshold gate, requires work linear in the number of counters and fixed-size per-stream state, and produces exactly reproducible results without floating-point arithmetic or model training. Optional discrete direction keys support compact grouping, and peer-relative integer classification identifies outliers among comparable elements. The resulting signals can be generated close to the telemetry source, where independent per-counter thresholds may miss coordinated changes.

Single-Queue, Multi-Kind Escalation: One Human-Confirmation Gate For Three Structurally Different Automated Judgments In An Autonomous Compliance Pipeline, Vipul Panday
Defensive Publications Series
An autonomous pipeline that both detects issues and acts on them (filing tickets, refreshing a reference corpus, adopting a new rule) will, almost as soon as it does more than one kind of consequential thing, produce more than one kind of moment where its own judgment is not trustworthy enough to act on unsupervised. The conventional response is a bespoke review mechanism per kind of uncertainty, added piecemeal as each is discovered during development: a findings-review screen here, an admin flag there, a Slack thread for whatever comes up next. This disclosure documents a mechanism from a production website-accessibility scanning …

Autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agents increasingly perform critical tasks, yet their lack of transparency makes it difficult to verify that a model was authentic and uncompromised when a decision was made and to maintain a trustworthy audit trail. The techniques presented herein implement a Cryptographic Agent Provenance Ledger (CAPL) security architecture that uses hardware-backed enclaves, privacy-preserving zero-knowledge proofs, hardware-rooted state continuity, and in-enclave cryptographic batching to create tamper-resistant, forensic-grade provenance for AI decisions. CAPL gates release of each inference output until its provenance record is created and ordered, while later hardware-backed notarization anchors batches of already-gated records. By cryptographically binding …

A memory-bounded method is disclosed for constructing a globally complete, high-zoom-level Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFF — a planet-wide raster at web-map zoom level 18, on the order of 10¹¹ cells — from a rolling window of tile-access logs, using working memory that is essentially constant in the number of cells. The output is a standards-compliant COG with a full reduced-resolution overview pyramid, derived by robustly aggregating the per-tile time series; it is several hundred times smaller than a naïve dense encoding. The method combines a level-embedding space-filling tile key, a two-stage disk-backed ordering (per-period external sort followed by a cross-period streaming merge), …

Designing High-Resilience Hybrid Metamaterials: A Systems Engineering Specification For Elemental Hybridization, Solitonic Stabilization, And Non-Destructive Process Verification In Artificial Crystal Lattices, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Traditional artificial crystal lattices grown via high-mass commercial methods exhibit acute failure modes under extreme operational environments. These loops manifest as high-frequency acoustic micro-cracking along crystal grain boundaries during cyclic load profiles, or structural delamination driven by thermal expansion differentials across thin-film interfaces.
This specification introduces a formalized systems engineering framework for the elemental hybridization of lab-grown crystal substrates—specifically Thin-Film Lithium Niobate (LiNbO₃) and 3D Self-Assembled Inverse Opal Lattices. By strategically infiltrating these substrates with low-weight-fraction Graphene Oxide (GO) nanosheets and Boron Nitride Nano-Tubes (BNNTs), we create hybrid, non-linear metamaterials that isolate, dampen, and redirect destructive kinetic and thermal wave …

Designing Smart Charity: A Tri-Tiered Systems Engineering Framework For Global Capital Allocation, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Traditional philanthropic capital allocation models consistently exhibit binary systemic failure modes: low-velocity palliative aid loops that induce sovereign moral hazards, or hyper-insulated frontier engineering moonshots that leave present-day socio-economic baselines highly vulnerable to exogenous shocks. This specification introduces the Tri-Tiered Systems Engineering Framework for Philanthropy, an objective, non-weaponizable technical model that treats charitable giving as an essential infrastructure risk-management protocol rather than a speculative moral luxury.
By segmenting capital allocation into three distinct, non-interchangeable tiers—Palliative Stabilization (Tier 1), Environmental Upgrades (Tier 2), and Frontier Innovation (Tier 3)—this architecture models global civilizational utility as a complex physical system. We leverage historical …
Multi-Tier, Signal-Weighted Topic Exclusion For Recurring Ai Content Suggestion, With A Batch-Completeness Guarantee, Vipul Panday
Multi-Tier, Signal-Weighted Topic Exclusion For Recurring Ai Content Suggestion, With A Batch-Completeness Guarantee, Vipul Panday
Defensive Publications Series
A system that repeatedly generates a fresh batch of candidate content topics for a person to choose from, once per day in this case, will eventually re-surface a topic that person has already engaged with in some way, unless the system tracks and consults that history. Doing this naively creates two opposite failure modes. Excluding too little re-shows the same ideas, and excluding too much eventually starves the system of anything left to offer, because a topic a person simply didn't pick that day (having preferred a different one in the same batch) is not the same signal as a …

Automated Software Defect Analysis And Prevention Via A Closed-Loop Knowledge Extraction Pipeline, Snigdha Saha, Zening Li, Shu-Wei Cheng
Defensive Publications Series
In large-scale software development, root-cause analysis can be a manual process that may not effectively connect production crashes to nuanced discussions from code reviews. A system for automated software defect analysis can use a closed-loop pipeline to extract engineering principles from historical development artifacts, such as code review comments, to create a structured, machine-readable knowledge base. An autonomous agent may use this knowledge base to analyze new code contributions, generating quantitative risk scores based on principle violations, disparities between developer intent and the code changes, and similarity to historical crash-inducing changes. This process may assist in accelerating root-cause analysis of …

Test Point Insertion System For Hard‑To‑Detect Hierarchies Using Netlist Structural Signature Analysis, Krunal Siddhapathak, Aditya Phatak, Ankit Garg
Defensive Publications Series
Achieving complete fault coverage in complex System‑on‑Chip (SoC) designs during Automated Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) can cause test pattern volume inflation, as standard Test Point Insertion (TPI) techniques distribute test points uniformly rather than targeting specific structural bottlenecks. Disclosed is a predictive test point insertion system that analyzes synthesized netlists to identify Hard‑to‑Detect (HTD) logic hierarchies through structural signature evaluation. The system parses logic cones, pinpoints structural barriers (e.g., sequential state machines, wide comparators), and concentrates test point placement within the identified HTD hierarchies. Concentrating test points into these structural bottlenecks reduces total test pattern volume while preserving fault coverage …

Quality assurance for visually complex applications may be resource-intensive, and some automated methods can be inaccurate or difficult to scale. A systematic framework is described for generating specialized machine learning models for visual user interface defect detection. This approach can involve adapting large, pre-trained foundational models through a fine-tuning process that uses small, curated datasets, with each model trained to recognize a specific visual anomaly. The framework can also incorporate data augmentation and an active learning feedback loop to iteratively improve model performance by sampling and labeling challenging examples. This process may enable the creation of classifiers for quality assurance, …

The capture of tacit knowledge in organizations may be hindered by friction associated with manual documentation. A decentralized system can address this by providing each user with a personal knowledge repository (PKR) hosted on a shared, searchable file system. A local software agent, operating on a user's computing device (e.g., a laptop, smartphone, or wearable device), can populate the PKR through explicit commands or passive monitoring of work activities, with user consent. This agent can also directly query the PKRs of other users across a peer-to-peer network to retrieve information. The system can provide a method for accessing distributed information, …

Hierarchical Traffic Scheduling Architecture For Multi-Engine Network Interface Controllers, Anonymous
Defensive Publications Series
A hierarchical port scheduler for a multi-engine network interface controller provides unified transmit arbitration across independent protocol engines sharing traffic classes and downstream resources. The scheduler ingests transmit descriptors, optionally computes full on-wire frame length, and stores descriptors in per-port queues. A two-level hierarchical token bucket applies per-queue and per-group committed/peak rate limiting with configurable queue-to-group mapping. Per-queue and per-group colors are combined via a programmable truth table to form a combined color, and a global strict color priority selects eligibility vectors across groups. An eligibility masking stage accounts for downstream constraints including transmit buffer credits, priority-based flow control pause, …

A system for automated code verification can address challenges associated with verifying high-velocity code changes, where manual review may be slow and broad automated testing might lack specificity. The system can utilize a multi-agent approach for differential trace analysis. A synthesizer agent can, for example, analyze a specific code change to generate a targeted test plan. This plan may be executed in parallel on a control version of a software component without the change and an experiment version that includes it. During execution, observation agents can capture detailed execution traces and performance metrics from both runs. The system may first …

Temporal Pixel Modulation For Client-Side Video Piracy Prevention And Anti-Screen-Recording, Paras Thakur
Defensive Publications Series
Traditional digital rights management and visual watermarking fail to prevent video piracy through the analog hole or significantly degrade user viewing experiences. To address this, a client-side Temporal Pixel Modulator can be implemented within a video player's GPU rendering pipeline using WebGL fragment shaders. The shader dynamically modulates individual pixel luminance values at a high frequency above the human critical flicker fusion threshold, maintaining a flicker-free visual experience for legitimate viewers. However, when captured by digital sensors, this modulation can interact with camera shutter speeds and exposure intervals to induce temporal and spatial aliasing. This aliasing structurally corrupts unauthorized recordings …

Inline Thermal Interface Quality Assessment And Process Control Using Embedded Sensor Telemetry, Anonymous
Defensive Publications Series
Inline, non-destructive screening of thermal interface quality is performed on a fully assembled and sealed die–thermal-interface–cold-plate unit. A controlled electrical power stimulus is applied to one or more dies using the unit’s normal power delivery. Transient die temperature telemetry from embedded sensors and applied power from power-rail telemetry are captured without added metrology hardware. A thermal-interface quality metric is extracted, including a thermal-resistance ratio and/or transient-signature features that may be isolated using structure-function decomposition. Units are ranked relative to other units or a running baseline to support an inline go/no-go decision without requiring an absolute reject specification. The metric is …

Event-Triggered Selective Rank Warming And Always-On Shadow Completion For Compute Express Link Dynamic-Capacity Memory, Vadlamudi Venkata Girish
Defensive Publications Series
This technology integrates Event-Triggered Selective Rank Warming and an Always-On Shadow Completion Bridge to manage power-gated Compute Express Link Dynamic-Capacity Memory. A memory controller intercepts a mandatory out-of-band memory allocation handshake and uses this event to deterministically trigger a power-exit sequence for only the specific physical memory blocks being allocated. If a host access occurs before this sequence completes, the Always-On Shadow Completion Bridge handles the request using an always-powered internal staging store. The bridge emulates read completions with deterministic data and absorbs write transactions, preventing host timeouts. After the physical memory becomes fully operational, the controller transparently drains the …

Reinterpreting The Lux-Zeplin High-Energy Nuclear Recoil Anomaly: Localized Boundary Strain And Substrate Pushback Dynamics As An Alternative To Heavy Inelastic Wimps, Christopher L. Eckes
Defensive Publications Series
Abstract
On September 1, 2026, the LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) collaboration reported a single, highly unexpected high-energy nuclear recoil event within an extended energy window up to ~270 keV, exhibiting a 2.6-sigma significance level (0.5% background probability). While mainstream interpretations attribute this June 16, 2023 event to an ultra-heavy inelastic Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) exceeding \(200 \text{ GeV/c}^2\), this paper presents a rigorous mathematical alternative grounded in the Dimensionally Extended Holographic Cosmology (DEHP) framework. We demonstrate that this singular interaction can be perfectly modeled without exogenous dark matter particles. By treating the local vacuum as an incompressible fluid substrate bounded by …

Flexible Placement Ac-Cbu Rack With Upstream Current Transformer And Feedback Control, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
An AC-integrated capacitor bank unit (AC-CBU) rack architecture places a current transformer (CT) at an upstream location, such as a low-voltage switchgear, relative to both the AC-CBU racks and the payload racks. The upstream CT measures the aggregate load current for a group of racks. Multiple AC-CBU racks share this measurement data from the single CT and use feedback control to smooth power fluctuations on the power busway. This configuration results in a flexible layout compatible with standard data center designs, as the AC-CBU racks can be physically distributed among payload racks and connected in a daisy-chain to share the …

Reactive Network Configuration Compliance With A Cost-Effective Natural Language Processor For Multivendor Networks, Viktoria Fordos, Qi Li
Defensive Publications Series
Network configuration compliance has traditionally focused on monitoring and notifying operators when a network departs from a compliant state, leaving corrective action to the operator. A declarative, rule-based system is proposed herein to enforce network configuration compliance while lowering the entry barrier for using compliance functions. The system associates trigger conditions with corrective actions and includes a cost-effective natural language processor based on device schema. The processor can translate natural-language trigger conditions for multivendor network-controller environments with a high accuracy rate, allowing operators to define compliance rules without manually writing controller queries.

Blind-Mate, Low-Drip Ball Valve Quick Disconnect With Two-Stage Actuation, N/A
Defensive Publications Series
A ball valve low drip quick disconnect (QD) facilitates blind-mate fluid connections for applications such as liquid cooling in high-density hardware. The connector set includes two halves, each containing a ball valve actuated by an integrated gear mechanism. The mating process occurs in two stages: first, alignment pins guide the two halves together to form a fluid-tight seal with an O-ring while the valves remain closed. Second, continued linear motion of the connector halves causes the alignment pins to engage and drive the valve gears, rotating the ball valves to an open position for fluid flow. This mechanical design combines …
