Synthetic Generation Of Realistic Conversational Data Using Large Language Models, Andrew Tomlinson, Kelsey Kraus, Rupa Maiya Jun 2024

Synthetic Generation Of Realistic Conversational Data Using Large Language Models, Andrew Tomlinson, Kelsey Kraus, Rupa Maiya

Defensive Publications Series

The biggest struggle that teams have in the current artificial intelligence (AI) arms race is attaining high-quality, representative data to train or test product solutions. Prompts to a Large Language Model (LLM) must be increasingly complex, and even then, models struggle to generate conversational data that could reasonably pass for actual conversation between two or more people. By using an iterative prompting method that builds in real-world variation, a system is proposed herein that provides for the ability to create more realistic conversational data.

Workload Identity Management Using Agent And Controller, Ram Mohan R, Rajesh I V Jun 2024

Workload Identity Management Using Agent And Controller, Ram Mohan R, Rajesh I V

Defensive Publications Series

Techniques described herein provide for an approach in which an agent provisions a workload with initial credentials based on a workload profile that is learned using a controller. During runtime, when the workload requests a new token using its initial token to interact with peer workloads, an authorization server coordinates with the controller to learn the upstream/downstream peer workloads that will be in the path for the flows the workload will handle. Based on the security posture of those workloads, an appropriate scoped token is returned. This ensures malicious / untrusted workloads in the path cannot re-use or proxy the …

Rapid Channel Plan Optimization Using Fast Tuning Lasers, Anonymous Jun 2024

Rapid Channel Plan Optimization Using Fast Tuning Lasers, Anonymous

Defensive Publications Series

The present disclosure relates to optical networking, namely a rapid channel plan optimization using fast tuning lasers. Fast tuning lasers, able to tune across the optical C-Band in < 10 ns, are becoming available. As such, the present disclosure explores using transceivers with fast tuning lasers and the coordination thereof to rapidly change the channel plan of a wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) system. This may be accomplished without the loss of traffic by briefly buffering data and ensuring the tuning + reacquisition occurs before the buffer overflows. An example of which is time division multiplexed (TDM) coherent passive optical networks (CPON) which attempt to achieve rapid acquisition (such as <2048 symbols target). This disclosure also explores a dual control signals scheme for fast tuning lasers, claiming the solution of using two power supplies: one low frequency control signal (LFCS) and one high frequency control signal (HFCS).

System And Methods For Reduced Energy Consumption And Sleep Functionality For Collaboration Resources, Eric Yarbrough, Jason Coleman, Steve Holl, Gonzalo A. Salgueiro, Jay Kuhne

Defensive Publications Series

A system and methods are provided to optimize the placement of calls on devices in such a way that certain devices can be put into a sleep, idle, or powered down state temporarily, to conserve energy when the device is not processing calls, but to still allow for that device to be 'woken up' in real-time to process a call when needed or presented through the device. This allows for the ability for service provider or enterprise to not sacrifice their device resiliency or service availability posture, but still optimize and conserve energy across a collaboration deployment.
