This study investigates Asia REIT interdependence and the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The data of six major REIT markets in Asia (Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan) have been applied with Johansen cointegration test, Granger causality test, impulse response functions, and variance decomposition. In addition, U.S. REIT is incorporated to emphasis the its impact on Asia markets. The results indicate market integration at long-run period as REIT performance is closely related to the direct real estate market whereas REIT is affected by shocks and noise like stock in short-run. This study attempts to identify the factors affecting capital structure volatility using firm-specific on a sample of listed Thai firms from 2001 – 2020. This study documents that firm-specific factors impact capital structure volatility. Firms with higher growth opportunities, more profitable and have greater change in their assets tend to vary their capital structure more. In the second part, after determining the factors influencing capital structure volatility. This study provides the evidence of capital structure volatility (CSV) on dividend policies. Objective of this paper is to examine the determinants of life insurance consumption in terms of demographic, macroeconomic and institutional conditions from 26 countries from Asia covering the period of 1980 to 2019. The variables including 4 demographic variables, 7 macroeconomic variables and 3 institutional variables are explored by fixed effect estimation. The study also further examines difference of impact in different countries characteristic, that divided into Muslim, High-income and High-aged dependency ratio countries. We examine herding behavior in the Thailand stock market under different market conditions, industries, firm sizes, and investor types. We also study herding behavior during the Covid19 period. Lastly, we further develop a new factor that is a qualified price-risk element for stock return. The results show evidence of herding behavior in the Thailand stock market during the extreme positive and negative markets condition. And the herding behavior exists in twenty sectors out of twenty-six. The small-cap portfolio shows a greater magnitude of herding behavior compares with a large-cap portfolio. This paper investigates the relationship of inflation level and aggregate equity mutual fund flows using Thai evidence. Sample period covered from 2006 to 2020. For the first objective, we investigate the relationship between realized inflation and net flow of money into equity mutual fund. Next, since investors are forward-looking, we extend the analysis to investigate the same relationship using forecasted inflation instead. Targets in small industries are more likely to initiate the deal than targets in large industries. Bidders are willing to pay more for target-initiated deals in small industries than in large industries. This research finds empirical evidence that industry size significantly impacts firms' decision to initiate the deal and bid premium. Targets in small industries are more plausibly to initiate the deal because the demand for target corporate assets is lower. Consequently, they receive lower premiums compared to targets in large industries. This qualitative and descriptive study aims to determine from the perspective of SMEs owner towards the policies in order to see the benefits and obstacles of Thai SMEs with BOT policies on supporting SMEs. The in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 SMEs owners in Thailand and some interview questions generating to deeper discussion. The thematic analysis was used to analyze the interviews. In this study, electrospun nanofibers of polyacrylonitrile functionalized with graphene oxide (PAN/GO) were fabricated and applied as a sorbent in solid phase extraction in a disk format (SPE disk). Graphene oxide were synthesized by chemical oxidation of graphite powder via Hummers and Tour methods and were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Fosfomycin is an old antibacterial drug with broad spectrum and excreted via urine in active form. The present study examines how each group of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) is represented discursively in Bangkok Post, a major English-language newspaper in Thailand. The data comprise LGBT-related news articles from 2012 to 2019. Statistically significant collocates of each term were extracted via AntConc and Sketch Engine and were then categorized according to their semantic relations as observed from their concordance lines. Findings from the Bangkok Post corpus show that the key terms share common semantic preference patterns that point to the discourse about LGBT political movement. Electrocoagulation (EC) approach employing two aluminium electrodes and a two phase medium of aqueous solution of NaCl and hexane (2-phase-EC) was developed. The approach enabled electrochemical treatment of odor active compounds in perfume extract. The samples before and after 2-phase-EC at cathode, anode and between the two electrodes left for equilibrium after the treatment were analyzed by using solid phase micro extraction (SPME) and gas chromatography hyphenated with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of sorghum flour substitution to wheat flour on pasting and thermal properties of the composite flours as well as firmness of the flour gels and application of composite flour in pan bread. Wheat-to-sorghum flour ratio used were 100:0 (wheat control), 0:100 (sorghum control), 80:20, 60:40, 40:60 and 20:80, with the wheat control serving as a benchmark. Both flours had approximately 10% moisture content. Crude protein content of sorghum flour was 14.90%, which was lower than that of wheat flour (16.91%). Both Cd2+ and Zn2+ are metal ions in group 12 elements with very different toxicities but similar binding properties to most organic and biological ligands. In this work, a series of quinoline derivatives were synthesized and studied with an aim for Cd2+ selective turn-on fluorescent sensors. The structures of the compounds were designed to systematically evaluate the effects of amino protons, number of N-coordinating atoms, quinoline/picoline moieties and substituents on the sensing properties. This study develops a prototype of a ready-to-cook Cambodian Korko soup base by surveying the perception of 400 Cambodian consumers and found that 44.5% of replies prefer ready-to-cook Cambodian Korko soup base in powder form. After that, the effect of different drying temperatures on the properties of Cambodian Korko soup base ingredients (herb, spice, and fermented fish) was investigated on physicochemical, antioxidants, and microbiological properties. At higher temperature 80 oC, water activity, moisture content was decreased faster and DPPH and FRAP were decreased compared to lower temperatures 70 oC and 60 oC. The 1,3,5-triazine scaffold is known for its versatile biological activities especially as an anticancer agent, but a limitation of 1,3,5-triazine is the ability to reach cancer cells thus affecting its anticancer potency. In this work, the anticancer activity of twelve 1,3,5-triazine derivatives was evaluated against two colon cancer cell lines along with an investigation of a drug delivery system (DDS) using calcium citrate nanoparticles (CaCit NPs). Bacterial cellulose (BC) is a well-known natural material with desirable properties including biocompatibility, biodegradability, hydrophilicity, high mechanical strength, high porosity, and broad chemically modifiable capacity. Herein, we incorporate carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) in BC hydrogel to improve the swelling property and prevent collapsing of 3D bacterial cellulose network upon drying. In addition, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were successfully embedded within the BC/CMC composite using in situ chemical reduction. Moreover, AuNPs were uniformly distributed in BC/CMC matrix with a diameter of approximately 13 nm. Valproic acid or valproate (VPA) is a drug for the treatment of epilepsy, bipolar disorder, migraine headaches and neuropathic pain. Unfortunately, VPA has many side effects. In this work, it was found that productions of some fatty acids were significantly affected by VPA at the concentration of 100 μM. Further exploration of VPA on fatty acid production in microorganisms including fungi, yeast, and bacteria, as well as representative gut microbiome. In this study, a purification of the EtOAc crude extract of Dendrobium signatum Rchb.f. aerial parts was performed fifteen compounds (1-15) and the hexane crude extracts of Magnolia liliiferra (L.) Baill. were further isolated to accomplish three compounds (16-18). They yielded one new picrotoxane sesquiterpene, 7-hydroxydendroterpene B (2) and a new a-pyrone, (-)-6R-signatone (4), along with sixteen known compounds. Fifty specimens of white-rot fungi were identified and placed into 6 families and 30 species. Two new records of resupinate fungi (Basidiomycota) were discovered and reported for Indonesia: Ceriporia inflata and Ceriporia lacerata. Furthermore, a four-step screening protocol to select WRF has been conducted. These stepwise protocols have selected Trametes polyzona PBURU 12 based on its superior performance among the 30 isolates tested in this experiment with laccase as the major LMEs produced. Currently, the development of the new anti-malarial drug for the treatment of the increasing drug-resistant strains of malaria was necessary. Therefore, this research was performed by synthesis and evaluation of their antimalarial activity for the development of primaquine which currently was used for anti-malarial drug.
