Irene Daughtrey was born February 25, 1906 in Morley, Missouri to Charles and Minnie (Simpson) Daughtrey. The family moved to Kentucky shortly after her birth. She attended WKU and received her B.A. in 1929. She worked in school libraries in Crittenden and Muhlenberg Counties and the Lindsey Wilson Junior College. In 1953 she was named director of the Kentucky Bookmobile Project and was supervisor of School Libraries, Department of Education in Frankfort, Kentucky. She was married to Arthur Gullette.

This photograph album covers Irene's WKU years 1925-1930.

This notebook was found among Librarian Florence Ragland’s papers. It contains her notes and annual reports regarding the administration of the library from its opening in 1909 through 1930. The notebook was also used to record the meeting minutes of the Junior and Senior Debating Society’s from 1907 through 1908. The book was digitized by University Archives student Todd Wilson in May 2011. Blank pages were not scanned.
