U.S. House Journals of William H. Natcher
Journal, 8 August 1958 to 10 July 1959, of U.S. Congressman William Huston Natcher while he was representing Kentucky’s 2nd District. The journal includes an almost daily account of Natcher’s reflections on current events and transactions with the U.S. House of Representatives. Many of the entries contain typescripted newspaper articles with some editorial comment provided by Natcher, others are more personal in nature.

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
The writer of this thesis with the counsel of Dr. Lee F. Jones of the Education Department, and Dr. E. Kelly Thompson, President of Western, decided to make a survey of the status of physical education in the Ohio Valley Conference by means of a questionnaire and through personal interviews. With the materials obtained from the questionnaire and personal interviews with the Directors of Physical Education of the various colleges a proposed program of physical education was organized for Western Kentucky State College.

Scrapbook created by Edgar Stansbury. The scrapbook includes clippings, photographs and cards for the period 1957-1958. Edgar Bryant Stansbury was the son of Emmet and Mable Stansbury born 1906 in Corbin, Kentucky. He attended Shepherdsville high school and came to WKU in 1926 where he played basketball and football. Upon graduation in 1930 he became assistant coach to E.A. Diddle. After World War II he returned briefly as athletic director in 1946-1947. Stansbury returned to the air force for the remainder of his career. A lifelong WKU supporter, he died in Largo, Florida in 2009 at the age of 103.
