The Effects Of Temperature & Photoperiod On Molting Patterns Of Seasonal Populations Of The Crayfish, Orconectes Immunis (Hagen), Michael Molley

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

Ninety-day experiments were initiated in January (Expt. 1), June (Expt. 2), and October (Expt. 3) 1972, to characterize molting patterns of Orconectes immunis (Hagen) at three different temperatures (20 C, 24 C, and 28 C) and three different photoperiods (6 L, 15 L, and continuous light). For each experiment 144 animals were collected from the seasonally predominate size class of that period. Light intensity was regulated to 15 foot candles + 10. Experimental conditions were arranged in a 3 x 3 design for statistical analysis using a completely randomized design with factorial arrangement of treatments.

The Gospel Reaching Out newsletter was produced by the Hart County Gospel Music Association which was headquartered in Munfordville, Kentucky. The newsletter contained information and calendars related to “singings” and singing conventions in south central Kentucky, area singing groups, musical trends, and features about collectors, churches and enthusiasts as well as advertisements from sponsors. On September 22, 1949, Shirley Cupp, Irma Beisel, Frances Stuckey and Mr. Hilary Bufton Jr. met in a coffee shop in downtown Kansas City to incorporate the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). Jean Fulkerson helped start The Kentucky Colonels Chapter on 3 June 1964 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Twenty-six women met at Western Hills Restaurant and elected Linda Sidebottom as the first president. Besides providing professional development opportunities for local businesswomen, the Chapter gave scholarships to women furthering their education, and held social and recognition events throughout the year. The Effects Of Small Growth Groups On Self-Concept As Measured By The Tennessee Self Concept Scale, Bruce Blythe

The specific problem investigated in the study was to determine the effects that small growth groups would have on the self-concepts of the participants. The Tennessee Self Concept Scale was used as a measure. The experimental group (N=30) and the control group (N=30) were comprised of college students enrolled in Introductory Psychology classes at Western Kentucky University. The group members participated in ten sessions over a five week period. An analysis of variance of the split plot design was conducted to measure the hypothesized change in self due to the treatment.
