While The Merchant of Venice has long been one of Shakespeare's most popular plays, it has also been one of the most controversial with Shylock being the hub of the conflict. Critics have long been arguing whether this great character is a tragic hero or a larger-than-life villain. Those opting for the first often believe the playwright guilty of anti-semitism, and those following the latter consider Shylock the embodiment of evil. Very few critics have viewed this character as three dimensional, possessing human dignity as well as a capacity for evil.

Kinetic Studies Of Polymer-Bound Rhodium (I) Hydrogenation Catalyst, Nee-Yin Chou
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects
For many years, it has been customary to classify catalysts as homogeneous or heterogeneous. Generally, the former are more active and more selective. But the major disadvantage of the homogeneous catalysts is the need to separate the reaction products and to recover the catalyst, which is often somewhat more expensive than a "classical" heterogeneous catalyst. It has been considered, especially in the last ten years, that there might be advantages in chemically binding a homogeneous catalyst to a solid support.
Polymer-bound, anthranilic acid anchored rhodium (I) catalysts have been prepared. The rate of hydrogenation of cyclohexene has been studied quantitatively, …

A Comparison Of Traditional Grass-Twist Backstops To One Of Corrugated Cardboard Design Use On Indoor Ranges, Charles T. Crume Jr.
Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

- Arrow pass-through levels and subsequent arrow repair costs
- Arrow penetration levels, tested over several distances and using several bow weights
- Arrow-stopping potential with beginning and inexperienced archers
- Storage
Testing showed the first three factors supporting the corrugated cardboard design. The last factor, storage, was found to be about equally supportive of both designs.
Several recommendations are made. These recommendations …
