Building Resilience In Children With Hearing Loss In General Education Classrooms: A Guide For Parents And Teachers Of The Deaf, Stephanie Elizabeth Micucci

The focus of this study was to provide a summary of the existing literature concerning resilience in children who are deaf and hard of hearing in general education classrooms. The goal of highlighting factors that contribute to the development of resilience in children with hearing loss was to provide parents and deaf educators with an understanding of why building resilience in children is important and how they can support the development of resiliency.

Examining The Impact Of Parental Self-Efficacy On The Early Intervention Process For Families With A Child Who Is Deaf Or Hard Of Hearing, Anna Magee Gandy
Independent Studies and Capstones
This literature review examines the relationship between parental self-efficacy and the family’s involvement in the early intervention process of their child who is deaf or hard of hearing as well as the ongoing participation in his or her education. Methods used to improve this self-efficacy and implications for further research in the field of deaf education are discussed.
