High School Educational Leaders’ Perceptions On College And Career Readiness Programs, Sabrina Cosey-Davis
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
The problem that was addressed through this study is that despite the widespread availability of college and career readiness (CCR) programs in high schools, these programs are inconsistently designed, implemented, and aligned at the school level. Grounded in Conley’s CCR framework, the purpose of this study was to explore high school educational leaders’ perceptions on the design, implementation, and alignment of CCR programs within their schools. For this basic qualitative design, data were collected through semistructured interviews with 15 educational leaders including administrators, counselors, and department heads. Data were analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s six-phase thematic analysis with the following …

A Program Proposal For A Leadership-Driven, Evidence-Based, Intentional Rounding Playbook, Jacqueline Butler Brown
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Patient experience is a key indicator of healthcare quality. In an acute care hospital in Northeast Georgia, intentional rounding is an established practice. Inconsistent communication, variable leadership engagement, and limited accountability are practice gaps that have reduced its effectiveness in improving patient experience outcomes. A comprehensive literature review using PubMed, CINAHL, MEDLINE, and the Cochrane Library yielded 15 peer-reviewed studies that consistently support intentional rounding as an evidence-based strategy for improving patient satisfaction. As the team leader for this Executive Leadership System Improvement Project, I proposed the development of an Evidence-Based, Leader-Driven Intentional Rounding Program Playbook to standardize enhanced rounding …

African American Women Counselors’ Lived Experiences Of Burnout Due To Microaggressions, Anquitra Walton
Walden Dissertations and Doctoral Studies
Within the counseling profession, African American women navigate unique challenges in the workplace, often experiencing microaggressions that contribute to stress, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion. While systemic racial issues drive workplace microaggressions, counselor educators and supervisors remain ill-equipped to support African American women through the resulting burnout. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the lived experiences of African American women counselors to understand how microaggressions can lead to burnout and affect their psychological well-being. Guided by a transcendental-phenomenological qualitative framework, semi-structured interviews were conducted to capture participants’ experiences, exploring the lived experiences of African American women counselors who …
