Summary Adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) remains significantly underdiagnosed in outpatient psychiatric settings despite its substantial impact on functioning and long-term mental health outcomes. At the project site, inconsistent screening practices, limited clinician familiarity with DSM-5-TR adult diagnostic criteria, and variable application of the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS) contributed to delayed or missed diagnoses, representing a clear practice gap. This study explored how informal caregivers of colorectal cancer (CRC) gain access to supportive care services at integrated cancer care institutions. Although supportive care aims to improve the quality of life for patients and caregivers, there is limited research on how informal caregivers participate in distress screening, and no standard process exists across settings. This evidence-based educational project focused on solving two problems at a private mental health clinic: Staff members used different methods to record patient intake information and schedule appointments. The methods staff used to interact with patients resulted in inaccurate documentation and longer response times. The purpose of this Doctor of Nursing Practice staff education project was to evaluate the effect of a standardized Stop the Bleed (STB) education program on emergency department and outpatient clinic nursing staff readiness and confidence in managing hemorrhage emergencies. A south-suburban Cook County, IL city lacks grocery stores with high-quality food options, which contributes to food insecurity. Residents often rely on highly processed, low-nutrient foods, contributing to nutritional vulnerability. Friendship Church’s food bank sporadically serves this food desert, but sustaining its operations is challenging. Using community-based participatory action research design and the food security theory, data were collected from 25 semistructured interviews with food bank beneficiaries and church staff/volunteers and analyzed using reflective thematic analysis. In a comprehensive mental health facility, patients diagnosed with major depression continue to experience depressive symptoms despite treatment. Despite using standard treatment with antidepressants and psychotherapy, facility data showed that 40% of these patients are still experiencing depression symptoms that negatively impact their overall functioning and quality of life. There is evidence supporting exercise as an effective strategy for depression treatment.
