The Curriculum In Agriculture: A Wary Traveller In A Fractius World, Allen Lebaron
Economic Research Institute Study Papers
These notes were originally organized during the fall and winter of 1968-1969 as part of an assignment to a committee formed to make recommendations concerning the undergraduate curriculum in che College of Agriculture at Utah State University. A substantial portion of the phrasing of the arguments is not original. However, specific quotations are not indicated in the text . This procedure was not a particular disadvantage in the rush of committee work, but it is no longer feasible to go back and pinpoint each specific source . The best which can be done is to indicate in a general way …

Economic Research Institute Study Papers
This report presents the results of a project conducted for the Rocky Mountain Forest and Range Experiment Station, U.S. Forest Service. This study entitled "Natural Resource valuation - the conceptual and operational basis for economic analysis in a mUltiple use context" had two objectives: 1) To develop concepts and procedures for determining comparable values of natural resources used in production of goods and services that move through markets. Comparability must be in terms of (a) theoretical framework and (b) stage of production and distribution process. 2) To develop concepts and procedures for determining comparable values of natural resources used in …

Fire Weather : A Guide For Application Of Meteorological Information To Forest Fire Control Operations, Mark J. Schroeder, Charles C. Buck
The Bark Beetles, Fuels, and Fire Bibliography
Weather is never static. It is always dynamic. Its interpretation is an art. The art of applying complex information about weather to the equally complex task of wildland fire control cannot be acquired easily-especially not by the mere reading of a book. The environment is in control in wildland firefighting. Free-burning fires are literally nourished by weather elements, atmospheric components, and atmospheric motion. Outguessing mother nature in order to win control is an extremely difficult task. We need to soothe her with understanding. We have attempted to present information in such a way that your daily and seasonal awareness of …

In a greenhouse, each nest of Pseudomasaris edwardsii (Cresson) was constructed of nectar-moistened soil, was solitary and was placed in open but concealed niches attached to a variety of substrates. The wasp anchored her egg by its posterior tip to the bottom of the cell, deposited a jellylike cylindrical provision composed of Phacelia pollen and nectar and constructed a cell cap. Soil carried to the nest was attached to the post genal surfaces of the female's head, and the pollen and nectar were transported in her honey stomach. Cells were clustered and attached to each other and to the substrate …
