Critics, whether in the field of history or of literature, have generally agreed in their evaluation of the historical worth of Sheakespear's English history plays. Tillyard finds that the dramatist"... compressed into a popular and lively form an astonishing quantity of sheer historical fact.1 The historian, James Gairdner, proclaims him as an "unrivalled interpreter" who succeeds in presenting not only a general conception of the period from Richard II through the reign of Richard III, but nearly the entire sequence of important happenings. A Study Of The Relationship Between Hand Preference And Motor Ability In Secondary School Pupils, James Lynn Shannon

This study was undertaken in an effort to determine whether or not left-handed students achieve as high pro- ficiency as do right-handed students in secondary school subjects which require motor ability. This problem came to the attention of the writer after he had examined the pre- vious writings in the general field of inquiry. It was found that mich of the material contained in these earlier studies had to do with the probable causes of handedness and what the effect would be to change a sinistral indi- vidual to dextral usage. On June 28, 1914, the Austrian Archduke Francis Ferdinand was assassinated at Sarajevo. Less than five weeks after his death, the century of peace, which had been interrupted by only eighteen months of open warfare involving major European powers, came abruptly to an end. The searing flames of World War I engulfed the whole of Europe and burned away the last shreds of that complacency which had veiled for all but a few malcontents the forces of die integration which threatened the very existence of Western culture. During periods of war, a nation wishes the morale of the fighting forces and the home front to be high in spirit. Every country strives to encourage and stimulate good feeling among its fellowmen. The United States is no exception to this time-honored fact. It has long realized the value of morale in winning a war. It has long realized, that without high morale, a nation my lose a conflict.
