The following is the final report of the results of three archeological field seasons, 24 weeks, at Mission Rosario State Park, Goliad County, Texas. A report entitled "Mission Rosario, Archeological Investigations 1973" (Gilmore 1974) has been published by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. That report contains a description of the 1973 field research and the history of the site from the date of founding in 1754 through the 1973 field season. The first field season from May 8 to July 3, 1973 was a pilot season to determine problems which might be encountered from previous excavations, disturbances, and collections made …

The Texas Mass Transportation Act, Article 4413 (34) V.A.T.S., directs the Texas Mass Transportation Commission to develop and continuously maintain a comprehensive master plan for public mass transportation development in the State of Texas. This report was prepared and is submitted in accordance with that mandate. In order to maintain a report that accurately reflects the proposed transit developments in Texas, the Texas Transit Development Plan will be reviewed annually to evaluate the current validity of assumptions, projections and recommended transit improvements. The Institute of Urban Studies has in its first five years mounted a broad array of educational, research and service responses to the problems of communities in both metropolitan and rural areas. These initial efforts would not have been possible without the imagination and diligence of those who served with our initial research and service units, the urban affairs faculty, and more recently, our criminal justice faculty. What remains is the challenge of furthering the capability of our existing efforts and building in both the outreach and academic areas to respond to new needs in Texas communities.

The use of the circular normal distribution (CND) to describe the behavior of random phenomena of a geophysical nature has been discussed by Crutcher [7, p. 9]. Based on the Mauchly [17] - Hsu [12] test, the harmonic dial points (the Fourier coefficients obtained from harmonic analysis of observations of periodic phenomena) representing i.) lunar semidiurnal atmospheric tides (Chapman and Lindzen [5, p. 66]), ii.) the westerly component of wind in the study of tidal oscillations in the upper atmosphere (Haurwitz [10]), and iii.) terrestrial-magnetic activity relative to solar activity (Bartels [2]) may be treated as observations from a CND. …

The theory of differential and integral equations exploits comparison and iterative techniques which do not fall under the Contractive Mapping Principle. For they make use of partial orderings and maximal solutions; concepts which have no significance in a metric space. These methods take their proper place in the theory of cones [1], [2]. In this paper, Banach's Contraction Mapping Principle and comparison and iterative methods are brought together under a single roof which houses various results from the theory of differential equations [3], in addition to an interesting generalization of Banach's Theorem [4].
