Russia-Iran Military Cooperation: The Dynamic Is Changing Dramatically Because Of Drones In The Ukraine War, Arman Mahmoudian
Russia-Iran Military Cooperation: The Dynamic Is Changing Dramatically Because Of Drones In The Ukraine War, Arman Mahmoudian
GNSI Publications
Russia's struggles in Ukraine, marked by military setbacks, pushed Moscow to seek a cost- effective arms supplier. Iran readily stepped in. Supplying Russia with UAVs, particularly Kamikaze drones, marked a significant shift in Russo-Persian military ties. Historically, this was an "asymmetric partnership." Russia, one of the few to offer Iran arms and political support, held the upper hand. Conversely, Iran, with minimal "bargaining power," relied heavily on Russia as other major powers were either indifferent or hostile to it. However, this imbalance was more due to "urgent need" than mere "power disparity." For two centuries, challenges ranging from internal revolts, …

Journal of Global Business Insights
As internet usage grew, social media sites proliferated, and consumers began to use them more frequently. On social media, people share their daily lives, but they also express what they want to symbolize. This sharing includes conspicuous buying or consumption, presenting both opportunities and challenges for organizations. Therefore, the aim of this research was to investigate how the intensity of Instagram’s usage as a social media platform affects conspicuous consumption. The data was gathered through a questionnaire administered to Instagram users (N = 230). Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) determined the effect of the intensity of Instagram’s …

Findings show a holistic view of actor involvement in the business adaptation process linked to altruism, in which the business and all actors (i.e., suppliers, landlords, customers, employees, government, online …

Doing Business And Contributing To Conflict Prevention And Development In Ghana, Abdul Karim Issifu, Musa Essuman, Felix Dade
Journal of Global Business Insights
While some scholars argue that companies implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) for altruistic reasons, to gain an advantage over rivals in the industry, to enhance corporate reputation, and to be seen as ethical for addressing environmental and socio-economic difficulties, other scholars view CSR as unnecessary. These scholars argue that CSR initiatives adversely affect corporate profits. The understanding of this phenomenon remains incomplete, especially with the lack of empirical understanding about why corporate bodies execute CSR in spite of their primary goal of maximizing profits. To better understand this gap in knowledge, this case study of the Newmont Ghana Gold Limited …

Florida Conference on Recent Advances in Robotics
Advancements in robotics, artificial intelligence, and other automation have highlighted the need for humans to work together with machines in a more flexible and collaborative fashion than previously possible. To formulate effective human-robot teams, it is critical to understand which factors play important roles in enhancing human-robot teamwork. To gain preliminary insights into key factors of effective human-robot teams, we carried out an experiment using an enhanced version of the “Lunar Lander” game, where the goal is to safely land a spacecraft on the moon’s surface in concert with an AI teammate. Exposure Characteristics Of Environmental Chemicals By Life Stages, Nisha Vijayakumar
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Environmental chemicals are ubiquitous and can contribute to human exposure. These exposures can result in long-term health consequences if they occur in early life. However, exposures to environmental chemicals are not evenly distributed throughout childhood. As a result, there exists variation in the levels of chemical exposure depending on the developmental stages, pathways of exposure, and broader systemic factors. However, in early life, limited research exists on exposures to environmental chemicals, particularly phthalates, pesticides, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). In addition, environmental exposures to phthalates, pesticides, and PAHs, considering life stages, have not been fully explored. Hence it is imperative …
