Pompano mariculture is not an attempt to bridge the protein gap, but it has been initiated to provide a constant source of this highly desired marine fish. The current market for pompano is small, however, this has been attributed basically to its supply. It appears from the literature that T. carolinus has the most dominant market position since it has an excellent flavor and sports fishermen prefer it due to its fighting ability when hooked on light tackle. The need for a more growth oriented, phenomenological approach to social action, served as the stimulus for this investigation. The objectives of the study were (1) to provide empirical validation of the relatively new Purpose In Like (PIL) scale by its use with specific; (2) to explore some of the social-psycho-logical determinants of n individual's involvement in social issues; and (3) to compare the PIL with self concept factors Osgood's Semantic Differential. Comparative Physiology And Pathogenicity Of Eight Isolates Of Ceratostomella Ulmi, Lafayette Frederick

Eight isolates of Ceratostomella ulmi exhibiting distinctive cultural variations were assembled for comparative studies of physiological and pathogenic differences. These isolates originated from cultures taken from diseased trees in several geographical areas. The principal objectives of the investigation were to determine (a) the relationship of certain physiological variations among the eight isolates of C. ulmi to toxin production, (b) the extent or pathogenic specialization among C. ulmi isolates, and (c) the relationship between observed physiological variations and pathogenicity.
