Boys' Physical Education Leadership, Facilities, And Equipment In The Secondary Schools Of North Dakota, James W. Gustafson
Theses and Dissertations
The purpose of this study is to make readily available, in helpful form all information possible on leadership, facilities, and equipment in men's physical education in North Dakota schools. It was originally planned that this should be a study of women's physical education as well as men's, but inasmuch as the questionnaires were sent to men instructors, not much information concerning the women's program was reported. For this reason it has become necessary to limit this study to men's physical education only. It is hoped that this information and the manner of presentation will aid in determining what is needed …

A Parent And Pupil Evaluation Of Three High Schools In Southeastern North Dakota, Lowell J. Mitchell
Theses and Dissertations
Horace Mann once said: "All measures designed to promote education must depend for their success, in this country, on the hearty cooperation of public opinion. It is only by enlightening and concentrating of the opinion that powerful effects can be produced". This study, from the beginning, accepted that viewpoint. It was not interested in producing simply another report to gather dust on library shelves. It was desired to develop materials and procedures capable of influencing the actual operation of the secondary schools of the state.

The North Dakota Teacher's Insurance And Retirement Plan With Suggestions For Future Improvements, Jacob Klein

At no time in the history of the United States has social legislation and the subject of subsidized retirement .benefits l received greater emphasis than during the past fifteen years. From this humble beginning before World War I, there has been a general growth in this movement until …

History Of Education In Clearwater County, Ralph Arthur Larson
Theses and Dissertations
The story of education in Clearwater County is typical of communities which possess a definite frontier background. While consisting mainly of commonplace developments, it contains enough local color to provide inefficient human interest. In the writing of the following account, the prime considerations have been (1) accuracy and (2) balance. Some items may have been omitted and some which may be insignificant have been added to properly flavor the story and present it in both an interesting and enlightening manner.
A great deal or the material has been gained through personal interview with people whose knowledge of certain situations allows …
