Hbot & Tbi, What If You Could See? - 3d Sloreta Brain Imaging: From Baseline To Outcome., William Mrklas
International Symposium for Hyperbaric Medicine
HBOT works. Now see for yourself how clinicians can utilize Live, 3D Brain Imaging right in their office to get a baseline, then track and validate changes in the brain. So many benefits to both clinician and client. Convenience of detailed cortical information at a clinician’s fingertip takes the guesswork out of modalities such as HBOT. The ability to create an N=1 or compare to a normative database in real time is a game change
Enhanced Brain And Concussion Recovery: Round 1: Knock Out Brian Injury – An Evolving Paradigm In Healing, Alan Katz
International Symposium for Hyperbaric Medicine
Newer modalities are emerging which will allow us to better identify injury. Additionally, multiple techniques exist to assist with brain retraining. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is now emerging as the key management tool for brain repair when integrated into a comprehensive concussion recovery program.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy In In Neurodegenerative Disease With Case Presentations Of Alzheimer's Disease, Paul G. Harch, Edward F. Fogarty
International Symposium for Hyperbaric Medicine
Dr. Harch’s keynote will outline his case presentations on Alzheimer’s, supported by Dr. Fogarty.
- To better understand that neurodegenerative diseases result from a combination of genetic factors and cumulative environmental factors that generate central nervous system inflammation and wounding.
- To understand the positive and negative literature on HBOT in a variety of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopment diseases and the effects of HBOT on inflammation.

Successfully landing and then negotiating for your first position is an exciting and challenging task. In this paper, we use a narrative review to present the literature on gender and negotiation with a focus on academic psychology work contexts. We highlight important differences between factors that are within the individual’s control vs. factors at the institutional or societal level. Drawing directly from the research literature, we make several recommendations for women trying to manage negotiation in contexts that are likely biased against them at the institutional and cultural level. For example, we recommend that women take steps to reduce situational …

There is limited study of suicidal behaviors among veterans identifying as sexual and gender minorities (SGMs), despite previous research indicating rates of suicide attempts are high within civilian SGM populations. Further, some research incorporating military service members suggests those identifying as SGMs are disproportionately exposed to military sexual trauma (MST), an additional risk factor for negative psychiatric sequelae. To address health care research disparities among minority veterans (i.e., women, those endorsing MST, SGMs), we examined presentations of veterans (N = 277) who attended initial consultation appointments for MST-related treatment and completed a semistructured clinical interview including demographic characteristics, history of …

Low-Cost Experimental System For Center Of Mass And Center Of Pressure Measurement, Cai Xia Yang

Falls happen when the center of mass of body is outside of its base of support and the recovery of the center of mass back to the base of support failed. Balance ability is an essential ability needed for humans' daily routine activities. Improving balance ability should result in a better and more convenient way of living. There are various factors influence on balance ability. The focus of this paper is to investigate which factors have the greatest effect on balance. Balance ability is measured by deviations of center of pressure in both x-direction (side-to-side) and y-direction (front-to-back) with the …

Introduction
Criterion-referenced cut-points for field-based cardiorespiratory fitness for children (CRF) are lacking. This study determined: (a) the association between CRF and obesity, (b) the optimal cut-points for low CRF associated with obesity in children, and (c) the association between obesity and peak oxygen uptake () estimated from the 20-m shuttle run test using two different prediction equations.
Methods
A total of 8,740 children aged 10.1±1.2 were recruited from 11 sites across Canada. CRF was assessed using 20mSRT reported as running speed at the last completed stage, number of completed laps and predicted , which was estimated at the age by …

Feral horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) represent an iconic era of the North Dakota Badlands. Their uncertain history raises management questions regarding origins, genetic diversity, and long-term genetic viability. Hair samples with follicles were collected from 196 horses in the Park and used to sequence the control region of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) and to profile 12 autosomal short tandem repeat (STR) markers. Three mtDNA haplotypes found in the TRNP horses belonged to haplogroups L and B. The control region variation was low with haplotype diversity of 0.5271, nucleotide diversity of 0.0077 and mean pairwise difference of 2.93. We …
