Patient Outcomes With Tele-Emergency Medicine Services In Rural Areas, Andrea Rieder
Patient Outcomes With Tele-Emergency Medicine Services In Rural Areas, Andrea Rieder
Physician Assistant Scholarly Project Posters
The purpose of this literature review was to examine patient outcomes with the use of tele-emergency medicine. Teleemergency medicine serves as a tool to expand the healthcare team in rural facilities by connecting them with specialized providers, typically via video conference call, for assistance in surge or lowstaff situations, or for guidance in more complicated cases that rural providers might typically transfer to a larger hospital. A benefit of adopting a tele-emergency medicine service is that it can shorten time to care and reduce the need for transfers, thereby reducing associated costs. The question arises as to whether patient outcomes …

Population Genomics Provide Insight Into Ancestral Relationships And Diversity Of The Feral Horses Of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Melissa A. Thompson, Blake E. Mccann, Turk Rhen, Rebecca Simmons
Biology Faculty Publications
Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) manages a herd of feral horses (Equus caballus) which was present on the landscape prior to the establishment of the park. The population presents a unique scenario in that it has experienced fairly intensive and well-documented management since the park's establishment, including herd size reductions, intentional introduction of diversity, and subsequent attempts to remove introduced lineages. This provides an interesting case study on the genetic effects of diverse evolutionary forces on an isolated feral population. To explore the effects of these forces and clarify the relationship of this feral herd with other horses, …

The Plains CO2 Reduction (PCOR) Partnership Atlas provides a profile of CO2 sources and potential storage locations across the PCOR Partnership region. The revised sixth edition of the Atlas provides an up-to-date look at PCOR Partnership initiative activities, including additional regional characterization and updates on commercial projects. Additional background information on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) is included to give a better understanding of how CCUS addresses concerns about climate change while allowing future energy needs to be met.

Adaptation of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and blockchain in agriculture has revolutionized farming activities, offering several benefits such as increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved crop yields. However, these advancements also have their fair share of security challenges, opening space for vulnerabilities that adversaries can exploit and compromising agricultural IoT networks, autonomous farming equipment, and vehicles. This may lead to compromised services and devices disrupting farming activities, causing losses to the farmers. This paper captures the state-of-the-art review of IoT-based precision farming systems, including the technological applications, cybersecurity challenges, and mitigation measures …

Graduate Research Achievement Day Posters
This poster discusses an electric (E) and magnetic (H) field data gathering process across a series of High Voltage (HV) transmission lines. Data was collected from one DC and four AC Transmission (Tx) lines. Multiple DJI UAV (M2EA, M30, and M300) were used to collect E/H field measurements with an onboard set-up. These measurements included parameters such as E field in V/m, H field in mG, Battery voltage in V, Battery current A, Battery percentage in %, Battery Temperature in F, and latitude and longitude. The preliminary findings indicate that distance and sensor orientation affect E/H field distribution.

Critical infrastructure like the power grid are at risk from increasing cyber threats due to the growth of distributed energy resources ( relying heavily on internet connectivity Compromised DER endpoints are susceptible to cyber attacks and it is important to first identify evolving cybersecurity issues in widely deployed architectures, communication protocols, and networks Information produced from artificial intelligence ( based co pilots are emerging threats that can offer convenient and detailed playbooks to compromise DERs through multiple attack vectors even for a non technical black hat community and should therefore be considered as a repository for unethical hackers
