UNM Annual Reports

TO THE GOVERNOR OF NEW MEXICO: THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY has the honor to submit to you, through the Board of Regents, his report for the academic year, 1954-l955. This is the first such report to be presented by the University on the basis of a single academic year, last year's report having bridged the transitional period between the end of the 1952 calendar year and the beginning of the 1954-1955 academic year. Occupational Mobility Among Used Automobile Salesmen In San Diego, California In 1954, Stuart David Johnson

Sociology ETDs

It was the purpose of this study (1) to gather information which would allow certain concepts of Industrial Sociology to be examined under research conditions as pertaining to social mobility in a relatively little known occupation; (2) to collect data which would establish an occupation hierarchy and indicate intra-occupational vertical and horizontal mobility among used automobile salesmen; and (3) to discover the relationship of occupational inheritance to the occupation of used automobile salesmen.
