HSLIC Faculty and Staff Instructional Resources

This presentation, delivered at the Evidence-Based Practice Council Monthly Meeting, guides participants through best practices in selecting target journals, evaluating journal quality, reviewing submission guidelines, and understanding open access publishing options. It introduces the JANE tool for journal recommendations, resources for evaluating journal credibility (Think. Check. Submit., DOAJ, Journal Citation Reports), and institutional open access agreements. Consultation and support services provided by HSLIC librarians are highlighted.

These indicators help assess the model's effectiveness and promote residents' well-being and industry collaboration. Graph theory, a branch of mathematics, studies relationships among entities through vertices and edges. To capture the inherent uncertainties in real-world networks, Uncertain Graph Theory has evolved within this field. Soft Expert Graphs combine conventional graph theory with expert assessments, using fuzzy sets for vertices and edges, while allowing expert opinions to shape the uncertainties and relationships within the graph. Hypersoft Graphs extend this concept further by incorporating multi-attribute nodes that represent multiple distinct attribute values, enabling the modeling of more complex, multi-dimensional relationships. Decision-making in medical diagnosis is often hampered by uncertainties due to incomplete, ambiguous, and evolving information. In reviewing the traditional methods for lung cancer detection, we found that crisp and logic values have more difficulties and challenges. These challenges related to the big data analytics, uncertainty values, and the different circumstances that make it harder for prediction. In this work, we propose a novel approach that use a Neutrosophic Topological Spaces (NTS) for the lung cancer detection in the chest X-ray images.
