Neutrosophic Perspectives On The Body-Mind-Soul-Spirit Fluidity, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

Neutrosophic Perspectives On The Body-Mind-Soul-Spirit Fluidity, Florentin Smarandache

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

This paper examines the concepts of the ‘Body’, ‘Mind’, ‘Soul,’ and ‘Spirit’ through the lens of neutrosophy. Neutrosophy challenges traditional binary logic, positing that ‘truth’ is not a fixed entity. Through the lens of neutrosophy, which is a philosophical framework, one seeks to address and reconcile contradictions and uncertainties in various fields, including philosophy, mathematics and science in general, as well as logic. Any phenomenon or dynamic structure can exist in different degrees (of truth, indeterminacy, and falsity). By applying this triadic approach to these four components, we propose the notion of a Neutrosophic Body-Mind-Soul-Spirit as a Quadruple Fluidity, where …

Some Types Of Hyperneutrosophic Set (6): Multineutrosophic Set And Refined Neutrosophic Set, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

This paper builds on the foundational advancements introduced in [22, 29–32]. The Neutrosophic Set pro-vides a flexible mathematical framework for managing uncertainty by utilizing three membership functions: truth, indeterminacy, and falsity. Recent extensions, such as the HyperNeutrosophic Set and the SuperHy-perNeutrosophic Set, have been developed to address increasingly complex and multidimensional challenges. Comprehensive formal definitions of these concepts are provided in [26]. In this paper, we further extend various specialized classes of Neutrosophic Sets. Specifically, we explore extensions of the MultiNeutrosophic Set and the Refined Neutrosophic Set using HyperNeutrosophic Sets and 𝑛-SuperHyperNeutrosophic Sets, providing detailed analysis and examples.

Quantified Neutrosophic Set (Qtns)-Based Mcdm Algorithms For Sustainable Material Selection For Anti-Microbial Bio-Fabricated Textile Manufacturing, Muhammad Saeed, Neha Andaleeb Khalid, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

This paper proposes a modified structure for the neutrosophic set called the Quantified Neutrosophic Set (QtNS) with a parameterized setting. Unlike conventional approaches, the QtNS provides a quantified environment for the indeterminacy by its dependence on truthness and falsity components. This innovative approach quantifies the uncertainty and improves the assessment process via expert-guided opinions, customising it according to the specific situations in real-world decision-making scenarios. Some QtNS operations along with useful characteristics are addressed. Furthermore, two algorithms, QtNSUI and QtNSAO, are developed for the proposed operations of union, intersection, AND, and OR based on QtNS. In the world of sustainable …

Reconsideration Of Neutrosophic Social Science And Neutrosophic Phenomenology With Non-Classical Logic, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

Reconsideration Of Neutrosophic Social Science And Neutrosophic Phenomenology With Non-Classical Logic, Takaaki Fujita, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Body-Mind-Soul-Spirit Fluidity is a concept rooted in psychology and phenomenology, offering significant insights into human decision-making and well-being. Similarly, in social analysis and social sciences, frameworks such as PDCA, DMAIC, SWOT, and OODA have been established to enable structured evaluation and effective p roblem-solving. Furthermore, in phenomenology and social sciences, various logical systems have been developed to address specific objectives and practical applications. This paper extends these concepts using the Neutrosophic theory, revisiting their mathematical definitions and exploring their properties. The Neutrosophic Set, an extension of the Fuzzy Set, is a highly flexible framework that has been widely studied in …

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

The unprecedented migration of populations to urban areas has created major challenges for municipalities and service providers. To address these issues, decision-makers must embrace smart city and Society 5.0 paradigms, both of which focus on adaptability and sustainable development. Artificial intelligence (AI) plays a pivotal role by expanding service capacity, enabling automation, and processing vast data to align urban development with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This paper develops a multi-criteria analysis system designed to support decision-making in complex socio-technological contexts. Using cognitive mapping and the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) technique within a neutrosophic environment, the study …

Ppg-Based Sleep Stage Classification Using Pulse Wave Feature Fusion And Explainable Ai, Florentin Smarandache, Satyasri Akula, Saleh Alzahrani, Farrukh Arslan, Amir Ijaz Jan 2025

Ppg-Based Sleep Stage Classification Using Pulse Wave Feature Fusion And Explainable Ai, Florentin Smarandache, Satyasri Akula, Saleh Alzahrani, Farrukh Arslan, Amir Ijaz

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Sleep monitoring plays a crucial role in understanding and managing various health conditions, including sleep disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health. Traditional sleep monitoring methods rely on Electroencephalography (EEG) and Polysomnography (PSG) in clinical settings. However, these methods are expensive, difficult to administer, and unsuitable for home-based monitoring. In recent years, photoplethysmogram (PPG) has emerged as a promising noninvasive technology that is widely used in wearable devices and holds great potential for sleep assessment. Yet, most current sleep monitoring methods rely on deep learning models, which are inherently "black-box" and challenging in the clinical decision-making process. In this paper, we …

A Neutrosophic Approach To Social Phenomena, Florentin Smarandache Jan 2025

A Neutrosophic Approach To Social Phenomena, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

Sociology has long sought to understand human societies and the social behaviors within them. It explores the organization, structure, dynamics, and transformations of society over time. However, traditional sociological methods face significant challenges in addressing the complexity and indeterminacy inherent in social data—data that is often ambiguous, incomplete, and contradictory. The Neutrosociology offers a novel approach to studying and modeling social phenomena by employing mathematical and philosophical tools that can accommodate uncertainty.

A Brief History Of Opioid-Use Disorder In The United States, Effect On Orthopaedics, And Current Management Options, William Curtis, Nicholas Newcomb, Eric S. Kruger, Christopher L. Shultz Jan 2025

A Brief History Of Opioid-Use Disorder In The United States, Effect On Orthopaedics, And Current Management Options, William Curtis, Nicholas Newcomb, Eric S. Kruger, Christopher L. Shultz

Western Journal of Orthopaedics

Declared a public health emergency in 2017 and leading to 11 million years of life lost worldwide, the American opioid crisis has impacted millions of people, with up to 7 million experiencing opioid use disorder. In orthopaedic surgery, opioid analgesia has been associated with various complications, including infections, deep vein thrombosis, prolonged hospital stays, and overall inferior outcomes after surgical procedures. Orthopaedic surgeons commonly rely on opioids to provide postoperative analgesia and may frequently encounter patients with opioid use disorder. It is therefore essential that orthopaedic surgeons understand opioid use disorder, its effect on orthopaedic outcomes, and management of opioid …

Scar Tissue Adhesions, Neuromuscular Guarding, And Functional Recovery: A Case Report Of Physical Therapy Post-Cholecystectomy, Raeisa Griñe, Adam Walsh Jan 2025

Scar Tissue Adhesions, Neuromuscular Guarding, And Functional Recovery: A Case Report Of Physical Therapy Post-Cholecystectomy, Raeisa Griñe, Adam Walsh

Western Journal of Orthopaedics

Scar tissue from abdominal surgeries, such as cholecystectomy, can lead to long-term issues such as restricted movement, painful spasms, and impaired function. Laparoscopic adhesiolysis is a common surgical treatment for pathological scar tissue impairments. Conservative care, such as physical therapy, is a commonly used approach for managing pathological scar tissue. In this case, manual therapy techniques and targeted exercises successfully reduced the intensity and frequency of abdominal spasms, improved core strength and endurance, and enhanced overall functional mobility. These improvements were reflected in enhanced scores on the Lower Extremity Functional Scale and the Vancouver Scar Scale in a 59-year-old woman …

Dvnn-Cocoso: A Hybrid Neutrosophic Model For Evaluating Social And Economic Impacts Of Sports Event, Changshun Bai, Pute Lan Jan 2025

Dvnn-Cocoso: A Hybrid Neutrosophic Model For Evaluating Social And Economic Impacts Of Sports Event, Changshun Bai, Pute Lan

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

The evaluation of the social benefits of major sports events is a multifaceted process, focusing on assessing the positive impacts such events bring to a host city and society. These benefits include promoting public health, fostering national pride and social cohesion, boosting local economies, and improving infrastructure. This evaluation process can be viewed as a multiple-attribute decision making (MADM) problem. This study introduces a novel double-valued neutrosophic number CoCoSo (DVNN-CoCoSo) technique for MADM, incorporating DVNN Hamming distance (DVNNHD) and DVNN Logarithmic distance (DVNNLD). This method effectively handles the uncertainty inherent in evaluating social benefits. A numerical example of social benefits …

A New Simulation Framework For Analyzing Neutrosophic Data In Experimental Design, Muhammad Aslam, Nasrullah Khan, Florentin Smarandache

Branch Mathematics and Statistics Faculty and Staff Publications

A recent simulation-based classical analysis has been developed for interval data. However, a review of the literature indicates that these existing simulations have notable limitations and fail to conform to the neutrosophic statistical framework. In this paper, we propose a novel simulation process designed to analyze neutrosophic data within an appropriate and rigorous neutrosophic framework. We demonstrate that the proposed simulation is more comprehensive and aligns closely with the principles of neutrosophic theory. The results will be obtained through simulation and compared with those of existing methods, with the expectation that the proposed approach provides substantial improvements and is better …

When Emotions Flare: Solar Rhythms, Emotions And Cycles Of Political Revolution, Andreas Hernandez, Carolina Zilli Vieira, Alexandra Smith, Rebecca Olson

Geography and Environmental Studies Faculty Publications

Revolutions are among the most transformative events in human history. Analyzing 395 revolutionary episodes from 1900 to 2014, we find that major waves cluster around solar maxima - periods of intensified geomagnetic activity. Drawing on biomedical research linking geomagnetic disturbances to cardiovascular and stress regulation, and thus to emotional states, we propose that solar cycles modulate the affective ecologies within which revolutions arise. Solar activity may accelerate, shape, and amplify revolutionary cycles by heightening emotional climates and tipping fragile systems toward mass mobilization. This reframes revolutions as planetary events - entanglements of political conflict, embodied emotion, and cosmic …
