Comparing Costs And Predictors Of Low-Value Healthcare Service Use Among Primary Care Nurse Practitioners In The Southwest United States, Sara B. Nugent

Nursing ETDs

Low-value healthcare services (LVHSs) are unsupported by current evidence, associated with harmful patient outcomes, and equate to over $100 billion in wasteful spending annually. The aims of this descriptive, comparative study were to establish baseline prevalence and costs associated with LVHS use among primary care nurse practitioners (NPs), and to test the influence of different geographical regions and patient populations. A secondary data analysis of the Merative™ MarketScan® 2021 databases was conducted. LVHS prevalence was lower or fairly equal to that of other studies, and direct claim costs were very-low cost. Extremely high low-value lumbar radiographic imaging claim costs were …

Integrating Machine Learning, Data Fusion, And Statistical Methods To Predict Electric Load In Smart Grids, Alireza Ghasempour Sep 2024

Integrating Machine Learning, Data Fusion, And Statistical Methods To Predict Electric Load In Smart Grids, Alireza Ghasempour

Electrical and Computer Engineering ETDs

Electric load prediction (ELP) can support smart grid (SG) goals such as reliability and efficiency. In ELP, we predict the electricity demand at aggregated levels which is vital for the proper functioning of SG and keeping a balance between load and supply demand. ELP can be categorized as very short-term, short-term, medium-term, and long-term ELP. In this dissertation, we propose multi-output Gaussian processes (MOGP) for hourly day-ahead short-term ELP. We investigate different feature scaling techniques and prediction accuracy metrics with comprehensive details. Mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is used as a prediction accuracy metric. We proposed four methods: MOGP, MOGP …

The Quadruple Helix Of Strategic Alliances And Its Application For Community Development In Las Acequias De Atrisco, Jorge Garcia Sep 2024

The Quadruple Helix Of Strategic Alliances And Its Application For Community Development In Las Acequias De Atrisco, Jorge Garcia

Regeneración: A Xicanacimiento Studies Journal

In today’s society, the development of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) is imminent yet, large segments of the world remain marginalized. I contend that peer-to-peer and inter-institutional networks can be used to connect local with global systems to close this divide. Using today’s virtual and digital technologies the gap can be bridged using collaboration platforms using different knowledge systems that do not simply replicate the same information. The suggested model represents forming strategic alliances for information sharing and collaboration to empower and support local knowledge systems. The examples discussed show our efforts toward an inclusive approach with communities in full partnership, …

Myth And Monument In Old Town Albuquerque: Southwest Pietà And The War Of Presiding Histories, Eric Castillo Sep 2024

Myth And Monument In Old Town Albuquerque: Southwest Pietà And The War Of Presiding Histories, Eric Castillo

Regeneración: A Xicanacimiento Studies Journal

Luis Jiménez’s Southwest Pietà (1984) intended to combat cultural amnesia that obscured Native Americans’ and Mexicans’ contributions to the state. Jiménez’s Pietà sought to counter the iconography that shaped New Mexico’s colonialist heritage. But Old Town Albuquerque shrouds Native American and Mexican contributions to the region. Albuquerque’s public art has often been deployed as a wedge to write and rewrite narratives about land inhabitants, but the city’s public art tells a powerful story about race and place in New Mexico. This essay explores the socio-historical battle of land memorialization in Old Town Albuquerque and provides a geo-racial perspective about the …

Convexity For Interval Valued Neutrosophic Setsand Its Application In Decision Making, Suthi Keerthana Kumar, Vigneshwaran Mandarasalam, Saied Jafari, Rose Venish Ayyakanupillai Gnanaudhayam, Vidyarani Lakshmanadas

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

The notion `Convexity' is applied in various areas of mathematics particularly in optimization tech- niques. It is known that this concept is applied in fuzzy sets, which is studied by many authors. This article deals with convexity utilized for neutrosophic and interval valued neutrosophic sets which is a generalization of intuitionistic fuzzy sets. Also some interesting preservation properties of convexity under intersection operators in interval valued neutrosophic sets are discussed. Adding to the discussion, preservation property of digital convexity under intersection using deformation and other techniques are touched upon. Eventually the appli- cation of convexity to decision making are illustrated …

Cubic Spherical Neutrosophic Sets For Advanced Decision-Making, S Gomathi, M. Karpagadevi, S. Krishnaprakash, A. Revathy, Said Broumi

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

In the context of aggregation operators and multiple criteria decision-making, this article presents the idea of cubic spherical neutrosophic sets. The notion of neutrosophic informations are transform into a geometric sphere by determining its center and radius. This advanced geometrical representation extends traditional neutrosophic informations. This study defines and discusses weighted additive and weighted geometric aggregation operators tailored to cubic spherical neutrosophic sets that are vital for handling complex and uncertain information. Practical example, such as evaluating fertilizer brands for coconut farming, illustrate their application in decision-making contexts. By integrating cubic spherical neutrosophic sets into multiple criteria decision-making frameworks, decision …

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

In this paper, we introduce the neutrosophic I-convergent difference sequence spaces I(Y) (Δ)(f) and I0(Y) (Δ) (f) defined by modulus function. Also, we define an open ball B(x, ϵ, γ)(f) in neutrosophic norm space defined by modulus function. Furthermore, We construct new topological spaces and look into various topological aspects in neutrosophic I-convergent difference sequence spaces I(Y) (Δ)(f) and I0(Y) (Δ) (f) defined by modulus function

Fermatean Fuzzy Α-Homeomorphism In Fermatean Fuzzy Topological Spaces, Revathy Aruchsamy, Inthumathi Velusamy Sep 2024

Fermatean Fuzzy Α-Homeomorphism In Fermatean Fuzzy Topological Spaces, Revathy Aruchsamy, Inthumathi Velusamy

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

A relatively new development in fuzzy set theory, Fermatean fuzzy sets (FFSs) were developed for working with higher-level, uncertain data. They provide an even more robust structure for characterizing degree of membership and degree of non-membership, extending on the notions of Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFSs) and Intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs). There are multiple fields of mathematics and applications that depend extensively on topological generalization of open sets. Topological spaces can be described and analyzed with the aid of homeomorphisms, which provide an empirical way to identify whether two spaces are identical in a topological sense with respect to their essential …

Aczel-Alsina Power Average Aggregation Operators Of Singlevalued Neutrosophic Under Confdence Levels And Theirapplication In Multiple Attribute Decision Making, S Bharathi, S Mohanaselvi Sep 2024

Aczel-Alsina Power Average Aggregation Operators Of Singlevalued Neutrosophic Under Confdence Levels And Theirapplication In Multiple Attribute Decision Making, S Bharathi, S Mohanaselvi

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

In decision making scenarios, dealing with imprecise information through extensions of fuzzy sets is crucial. Among these extensions, single valued neutrosophic set (SVNS) are especially effective at managing and interpreting such imprecise data. In the current study, decision makers confidence levels, derived from their familiarity with the assessed objects, are combined with the primary data within a neutrosophic framework. This paper focuses on developing innovative confidence single valued neutrosophic (SVN) aggregation operators (AO) that utilize the recently developed Aczel-Alsina (AA) operational laws and power AO (PAO) to capture the interrelationships among aggregated single valued neutrosophic numbers (SVNN). Specifically, it introduces …

Spherical Fermatean Neutrosophic Topology, P. Roopadevi, M. Karpagadevi, S. Gomathi, S. Krishnaprakash, Said Broumi

Neutrosophic Sets and Systems

In this paper, we introduce Spherical Fermatean Neutrosophic Topological Spaces (SFNTS), ex- panding on neutrosophic sets characterized by Degrees of Membership (DoM), Degrees of Indeterminacy (DoI) and Degrees of Non-Membership (DoN). Fermatean neutrosophic sets in a universe satisfy the conditions where the sum of the cubes of the DoM and DoN is between zero and one and the cube of the DoI is between zero and one. The DoM, DoI and DoN are represented accordingly. We de ne a Spherical Fermatean Neutrosophic Set (SFNS) as a set where each element consists of an element in the universe, along with its …
