UNH Cooperative Extension
4-H uses the “Experiential Learning Model” as a way to create high quality youth programs. This model, commonly known as “Do-Reflect-Apply” focuses not only on the particular 4-H experience, but also how youth are interpreting their learning, and if they can apply it to real world scenarios. In the context of the showring, the goal is for youth to dive into their animal projects and learn about industry standards with agriculture, while also developing into capable young adults.

Lepage & Golden Deadlocked In Early Snapshot Of Possible Maine Cd2 Matchup 6/26/2025, Unh Survey Center
Lepage & Golden Deadlocked In Early Snapshot Of Possible Maine Cd2 Matchup 6/26/2025, Unh Survey Center
All UNH Survey Center Polls
A prospective matchup between Maine Congressman Jared Golden and former Maine Governor Paul LePage in Maine's 2nd Congressional District is statistically tied at this early date. However, LePage is more popular than Golden in the 2nd district as Golden enjoys only modest popularity among his fellow Democrats. A majority of Mainers approve of Governor Janet Mills' performance and she is considerably more popular than Senator Susan Collins, who some speculate may be her opponent in the 2026 U.S. Senate race. Most Mainers have heard about and understand a possible 2025 ballot question concerning election procedures, but relatively few have heard …

Granite Staters Divided On Ayotte Second Term But Potential Challengers Unknown In The State 6/26/2025, Unh Survey Center
All UNH Survey Center Polls
A majority of New Hampshire residents approve of Governor Kelly Ayotte's performance, with her handling of education cited most often by her supporters and detractors. Residents are divided on whether she deserves to be reelected, but potential challengers Tom Sherman and Jon Kiper are not well-known in the state. State residents are divided in their opinions of Democratic Congressman Chris Pappas, who is running for U.S. Senate in 2026. Potential Republican challenger Scott Brown is even less popular in New Hampshire. In the race for the open seat from New Hampshire's 1st Congressional District, Stefany Shaheen is the most well-known …

Mainers Disapprove Of One Big Beautiful Bill, Increasingly Disapprove Of Trump Handling Of Economy 6/25/2025, Unh Survey Center
All UNH Survey Center Polls
Less than one-third of Maine residents want Congress to pass the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," President Trump's major piece of legislation. However, a majority favor the provision of the bill which would eliminate taxes on tips and overtime. Elon Musk is an unpopular figure in Maine following his departure from the federal government and more than half of state residents believe the Department of Government Efficiency has had a negative effect on the country. Approval of Trump's handling of the economy among Mainers has declined since April and bipartisan majorities express concern about the federal debt.

Entropy In Leadership: Reframing Performance Decline As A Failure Of Internal Growth, Joshua M. K. Simmons
Entropy In Leadership: Reframing Performance Decline As A Failure Of Internal Growth, Joshua M. K. Simmons
M.S. in Leadership
This project explored leadership degradation among mid-to-senior enlisted members (E5–E9) of the United States Air Force using the concept of leadership entropy, the gradual decline of psychological and relational capacity in the absence of sustained support. The topic was selected to address a gap in understanding how internal leadership resilience erodes despite continued performance. A convergent mixed methods design was used, integrating quantitative survey constructs such as burnout, psychological capital, and perceived organizational support with open-ended narrative responses. Twenty-four participants contributed data. Results showed that while leaders remain outwardly effective, internal motivation and connection often deteriorate over time, especially at …
