Creating An Effective Internal Communication Environment, Elizabeth Stevens Oct 2019

Creating An Effective Internal Communication Environment, Elizabeth Stevens

M.S. in Leadership

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of internal communication on employee morale and job satisfaction, identify the best methods of communication for information retention, and propose suggestions to improve the perception of internal communication within an office or organization. Effective internal communication has long been identified as a required component of effective and successful organizations; however, how organizations utilized communication channels and mediums varied greatly. Development of an efficient communication environment had positive impacts on an organization emotionally and financially (Sprague & Del Brocco, 2002). Media richness theory and media synchronicity theory were reviewed to determine …

Review Of Ian Kerr And Jane Bailey, The Implications Of Digital Rights Management For Privacy And Freedom Of Expression, 2 Journal Of Information, Communication & Ethics In Society 87 (2004), Ann Bartow

Law Faculty Scholarship

Ian Kerr, who passed away far too young in 2019, was an incisive scholar and a much treasured colleague. The wit that sparkled in his papers was matched only by his warmth toward his friends, of whom there were many. He and his many co-authors wrote with deep insight and an equally deep humanity about copyright, artificial intelligence, privacy, torts, and much much more.

Ian was also a valued contributor to the Jotwell Technology Law section. His reviews here display the same playful generosity that characterized everything else he did. In tribute to his memory, we are publishing a memorial …

Atmospheric sea salt plays important roles in marine cloud formation and atmospheric chemistry. We performed an integrated analysis of NASA GEOS model simulations run with the GOCART aerosol module, in situ measurements from the PALMS and SAGA instruments obtained during the NASA ATom campaign, and aerosol optical depth (AOD) measurements from the AERONET Marine Aerosol Network (MAN) and from MODIS satellite observations to better constrain sea salt in the marine atmosphere. ATom measurements and GEOS model simulations both show that sea salt concentrations over the Pacific and Atlantic oceans have a strong vertical gradient, varying up to 4 orders of …

Shaheen Maintains Favorability In Nh; Declared Gop Challengers Largely Unknown 8/15/2019, Unh Survey Center

All UNH Survey Center Polls

As the 2020 Congressional elections approach, New Hampshire senator Jeanne Shaheen continues to enjoy high favorability, but residents are divided whether she should be reelected. Three of her declared Republican challengers have very low name recognition in the state. Representative Chris Pappas is somewhat popular in New Hampshire's First District, but residents are divided on whether he should be reelected. Second District residents are less positive about Representative Annie Kuster and a plurality would prefer that someone else be elected to Congress in 2020.
